Hi! Wow, I love this contest. Your company name is awesome, and it really leaves things wide open in terms of imagery and design. What a challenge! I've started off with some lettermark abstracts, and I'm only going to upload black and white to start. Since you know that the logo needs to work in black and white (as all logos should), I think it's best to start there and add color later. I'd love to have your feedback on these early entries! Thanks.
Thank you for your entries. I do like your design style, but I was hoping to steer clear of any letterforms. Entry #3 is heading in the right direction with it's simplicity, but I will not likely choose a letterform.
Here it is with just the triangle. But if we eliminate the circle, I think this mark would look better with a different font. I chose this font to go with the circle because of its roundish nature.
Entry #95 uses a closed B as requested, but in the same font. Entries #96 - #101 give you some choices for a basic hue for the abstract. For a logo this simple, I recommend going with one to two pantone solid colors. This is a premixed ink that will make printing less expensive than alternatives. I kept the text in a very dark gray (90% pantone solid black), and then tried a few different hues. I'd be curious to know which hue(s) you're most interested in from among these. Then, if you want, we can try some variations on those colors. #102 is an example with a bit of a lighting effect added, if desired, for on screen display. It's very subtle, but would have to be for such a small mark.
