Presenting Anabaptist History & Values
What We Do
We’re a non-profit organization that engages communities by collecting and presenting Anabaptist artifacts. Our museum houses Anabaptist bibles, hymnals, and books from Europe dating back to the 1500s. We also focus on the Geauga County Amish Community, the fourth largest Amish community in the world, by collecting unique artifacts like clothing, documents, furniture, and books. Our reference library offers Anabaptist and Plain Communities publications for study and research, and we’ve published books to raise awareness of Amish/Anabaptist heritage. We believe preserving Amish culture involves understanding their history and biblical values, which we achieve through historical artifacts, tours, presentations, and publications.
The majority of our members are from the Amish community and we are largely supported financially by the Amish. Due to their close interactions with the general public and businesses, we offer presentations and tours to educate the public and businesses about Amish culture.

Color Preferences
Earth tones. The Amish dress conservatively and avoid loud colors. Black and white may be best, but pastel colors are in line with the lifestyle.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
Classic horse-and-buggy silhouette. Barns. Draft horses. Black hat and bonnet. Gothic font (still used in Amish community with German alphabet, but may be too hard to read). Any of these are great, but we are open to ideas!

WOW! The designs and creativity is fantastic! Please bear with me as I try to narrow down the options. The Board of Trustees are meeting this Sat. 5/3/25. My goal is to provide a dozen or so general designs for them to review. For now I will rank them, and provide feedback once the field is narrowed down. Thank you all for your work!
5/2/24
I will be unavailable to respond from Saturday morning to Tuesday noon. The finalist stage will begin Tuesday afternoon.
Tomorrow the Board of Trustees will rank the submissions. Thank you to all for your ideas and participation!
