I'll be happy to show you some examples of more modern pitchers and different colors on the current one so you can see what those would look like. I'll work on those this weekend. Thank you very much again for the feedback, TIm
The following are variation in color on the pitcher and basin of #132, with the font you liked from #117. I'll be doing some modern shaped and material (glass) elements as well to show you how those look.
We've decided that we like the pitcher and bowl layout of 116 (with the basin behind) as well as the colors, but would like to see it with the pitcher of 121. We would like to see the text of Gaylord Evangelical Free Church all in one size font as well as with a layout similar to that of 134.
The only hang up we're having with this design is that it doesn't scream "young contemporary church." The idea of it doesn't necessarily do this as much as how it's portrayed. If we can somehow make it look more streamlined/sleek/etc. I like the idea of more of a free flowing/script for the motto but am not liking what we have so far and would like to see something different as well.
Thanks so much Tim...sorry it's taken us a few days to gather our thoughts!
Thank you for the feedback. I'll do a few versions with the pitcher from #121 and the text changes, then I'll see what I can come up with as far as a more streamlined look...maybe an abstract.
The following designs are the changes using the pitcher from #121 and the same sized text, as well as the text layout from #134. #160 - the same with just the new pitcher so you could see just that difference. New pitcher is in the rest: #161 - same sized text #162 & #163 - 3 lines of text and different fonts in the motto #164 & #165 - flowing text in the name, different fonts #175 - similar text to the original with larger first letters of each word
I'm going to get to work on a sleeker, more modern version of the concept as well for another option.
I had to withdraw a few and re-submit as there was a small spacing error I wanted to fix, which is why an older version is mixed in with the newer ones. I'm sorry about that.
These last few are probably the most modern looking with the bit of shine and the reflection. I did all of the latest contemporary versions with the same text layout as there just would have been too many variations and I wanted to show the different designs foremost. Any of these can be used with any of the text layouts I've done, very easily. Just let me know if there are any that you like and I can go from there with the text.
Just a couple of different color combinations. I can easily move the image to the left of the text or use the colors in any other design as well. I just wanted to give you a number of variations on the more contemporary ones.
I like the outlined pitcher and basin...I also like the circle around it but can I possibly see it with a square with rounded corners or something similar (the feeling is we like the circle but would like to see something different than a circle as an option)? Also with entry 164 we have a request on the team to maybe try flipping the image to try and cut down on the white space to the left of "church"
We like the square with the reflection....we have some colors that we would like to request to see how they would look. In photoshop their numbers are....877b63 and ac7846...one is a little bit more of a bronze. We wanting to see something with more depth in color and a bit warmer...some of the current colors just look too drab. We did like the idea of the split color in the background in 196 as it created the illusion of a table possibly. We also liked the coloring in 192. Also with the basin and pitcher in the square we would like to see the towel drape out of the square as in #183. With the text our team is split on liking the font in 164 or in 183...we like the script/flowing text in 164 but feel it may look a little dated and want something more contemporary and with the font in 183 we feel like it's too cold and boxy...so if we can find a font that brings the two together that would be fabulous! We like the bowl in 116 but the pitcher in 164.
I'll start with the easiest one first. This is #116 using the bowl from #164.
I'll do the variations on the square ones with the colors and the towel next, using the colors you provided. Then I'll use those colors on the one I just submitted here. Lastly, I'll do a few with different fonts and try to find a middle ground between the two that you are split between. As always, once I have these done it's no trouble at all to mix and match if you like the color and design from one but the font from another and so on.
I see what you mean by a warmer color, so I wanted to do a couple more of the square one using the dark color you gave and a couple different lighter colors for you to see.
This is close to the colors I used in the very first entry I did in your contest. #232
The next one uses a little deeper bronze color than the one you provided and a light towel as another option. #224
As you can see, I've re-done a number of my top ranked designs and the square ones with the colors you gave me and variations there of. Hopefully, I've covered enough of the variables so if you see something you like from one I can add it to another.
This last variation is just the pitcher you liked and the basin you liked, re-colored in a warmer clay color as another option.
The fonts are next. I'll pick one and do some different fonts on it so you can see what they look like, then if you like one I can use it on one of the other designs you might like.
This is the first of the new font attempts. I decided to use the new version of #164 (with the basin from #116) for each of these.
I think this first one is pretty close. It has the basic shape of the capital letters in the boxy font ( #183 ) but has the angle and some of the curves of the script ( # 164 ). It looks right in between the two, but I'll try a few more as well for you to see. If one of them is good, I can apply it to any other design of course.
Here's another font that seems to be right between the two. It has similar letter shapes to the script but without the long tails on some of the letters, which is what I think makes the other look dated.
This is the last of the different font examples. There are 8 in all, starting with entry #240. I think they all fall between the boxy and the script font you mentioned.
I wanted to take one of the new fonts, between boxy and script, and also show it to you with some of the higher ranked designs, ones you said you liked and some with the new colors just so you could see how those look without having to imagine it. The font in these is from #242, but I can easily change any of these to the font from #241 or any of the others.
I also extended the towel outside of the circle or square in some of these. In this one I lined up the line above the motto with it and it has a nice tie in effect.
This is #190 with the towel edge extended and one of the new fonts. I think that I got them all now, but I'll re-read through the comments and make sure.
I wanted to do one of the pitcher and basin you liked in a warmer clay color and a font color from one of my first entries ( #11 or so ), just to show you how that looks.
This is the last idea I had right now, and after re-reading all the comments I think I have all the variations covered. Thanks again for all the feedback in trying to pin one down.
