Company designs and manufacturers accessories for photographers. Primarily flash diffusers, but we have a few additional products, including the one for the current logo design. This is for a specific product - Flip-Pod - (not yet released). See below for details.
The current design is for a specific product (not our entire company). The target market - point & shoot camera photographers of all ages and skill levels. The product is a small tripod (bi-pod) designed specifically for point & shoot cameras. (It will not accomodate larger DSLR's, etc.) It attaches to the tripod mount of the camera and has two legs or wings that fold down to form the base when in the 'open' position of function. When the legs are folded up, they form a roll-cage that acts to protect the camera from damage. It will come in a variety of colors. Designers who submit a NDA ae able to view pictures and drawings of the final design/prototype. Item will retail in the $25-20 range.
Color Preferences
No restrictions for color use in logo... The actual product will be manufactured in a variety of colors... red, yellow, blue, black, green, white, pink, etc.

#1 - I like the use of text that reads reverse, upside down, etc. (I'm sure there's a term for that, but I don't know it.) We would like to use the entire name "Flip Pod" or "Flip-Pod" or "Flip\Pod".

#4 #5 #6 #7 - Thanks for presenting the logo in different colors, reverse, rotated, etc. I appreciate the illustration in different forms. I may remove 3 of the 4 just to make the evaluation & comparison process easier for us. If I do, please do not withdrawl them.
#16 I like the use of the product shape in the logo... Not sure about the slogan - I want to get a couple of other opinions.
#18 Don't really care for the font. I also think the overlay of the center 'p' and 'd' is too confusing/distracting. We have 3 seconds to catch their attention, and then 30 seconds at best to make the sale. I spent too much time saying "What does that say?" and I am thoroughly familiar with the product. At the same time, we appreciate your submission and the way you're trying to incorporate the product into the logo. We encourage you to refine and resubmit.
Whie we like submissions #3 and #4, please don't feel limited to a word mark. I'd like to encourage someone to play with an abstract mark.
