Thanks for the variety of entries. They have clearly involved a lot of thought. I really like the explicit reference to Gaia herself. I also like the concentric colour rings idea, though the orange is not working so well for me. Perhaps a cooler colour or a yellow might work better.
The images of the animals are really good, clear, well drawn and evocative without being too specific.
I prefer the image with Gaia at the edge to those with her contained fully within the circle. However, in those images, with her outline making the circle ragged at the righthand edge, I feel that the effect is a bit disconcerting. If we could give Gaia a righthand edge somehow but in a more subtle way than is being done with the additional blue layer, that would be excellent. Perhaps a shadow or a "lighting effect" or something like that would do the trick. Maybe that would work better if Gaia were on a different edge.
Finally, with the Gaia drawing she is oddly twisted somehow, with her buttocks and her breasts on the same side of her. That is also a little disconcerting.

Thanks for the updates to the logo entries. I think they are improving a lot.
I like the darker blue sky background for the bird in #131.
I like the body shape for Gaia more in #128.
I like the turtle crawling out of the green sea onto the sandy beach in #131 except that the green of the sea is more the green of the grass.
I like the bird more in #131. In #128 it is a bit too thick in the wings, I think.
I prefer Gaia to be on the edge of the circle than having a colour band behind her so #128 is better than #131 in that regard.
I like the background colour arrangement in #131 more than in #128 where there are concentric rings of colour.
I prefer #131 because there are less of the reflection shadings. Those patches of lighter colour are not really working for me.
Feedback from others has been that the purple skin colour for Gaia does not convince them. I am not sure what to change it to, but perhaps it could be matched to the colour of the word Gaia. A darker shade of green may work but I think you will be better placed to judge that.
In summary a blend of #131 and #128 is what I am looking for.

Thanks for your work on your logo entries. I really liked how the design worked out but in the end felt that it would have more difficulty integrating into the actual website than the winning entry.
