Thank you for your comments. In order to further meet your requirements, I am interested in hearing more about how you intend to use your logo.
Do you require the logo to be single colour for cleaner and more economical printing of stationary? If this is the case, #65 #66 #67 #68 have all been created so that they can be printed in one PMS colour (#67 might use an off white stock or paper). Please let me know if you need a further explanation of how single PMS colour can be beneficial when producing stationary.
#68 is a departure from the initial design. When creating a medical research brand, I am of the understanding that funding bodies are a priority target audience. For this reason I have considered the need for your logo to express professional sophistication, trustworthiness, intelligence and experience.
There are several directions these designs might evolve further. one colour, multiple colour, flat, 3D, more refined or more complex. To make best of our limited time, any further comment regarding the best direction to take would be most beneficial to the eventual design.
Once we finalize the logo, we will have multiple versions, for example, single color, multi color, 3d, embossed, etc. And the concept of embedding the GS is good, we will keep it separate from the logo, that looks good as it is ( the brain with the vessels).
Just to show that the emblem contains blood vessels, one variation can possibly be a thin red highlighting of one of the vessels, for illustrative purposes.
Here's a number of variations on the highlighted blood vessel concept. I have put together some varying colour options: - The red vessel #70 may be a little frightening for some (although this is growing on me). - The burnt orange #71 is an attempted to soften the red version a little . - The other options continue the blue palette.
You may have noticed the difference in the typography in #66 and #67. Placing 'CLINIC' on the second line allows 'GS NEUROSCIENCE' to be more prominent. I'm interested to know which of these you would prefer me to continue with.
For your information, It will be no trouble to embed the one colour, full colour and reversed logos in the layers of a single Illustrator file so that you will have each at your disposal to use each as required.
Entry #78 - How the logo might look in a horizontal format... useful for web banner design. I think the simple addition of the line has given the design much better balance.
I guess that we will work with numbers 80, 78 and 79, in that order. I agree that the red does look a bit frightening to the routine person who walks into a hospital.
The logo on the left, the top line containing only "G S Neuroscience", as it has been done in number 80, 78 and 79 looks good. Let us work on these three designs for various formats if possible.
Entry numbers 80 and 79 are the ones that are appealing to the team at present. I guess they need some more 3d texturing, so that they look better on large billboards, banners and signs. These elements may not be visible on routine stationary because of the small size, but will look good on the main sign posts.
Congratulations on being the winner. May I please have some more textures, and variations of the winning designs for use with stationary, billboards, visiting cards, letter heads, web pages, etc.
Thank you for choosing my design. As a point of interest my wife is a researcher in the field of neuroscience and as such this has been a very enjoyable logo to produce.
Your files are now uploaded for you to receive and view. You will notice that the high resolution jpeg shows a great deal more texture and detail than the small preview jpegs used in the competition.
For your reference, the EPS file includes six layers, each with a different version of the logo for use in varying applications: 1. PMS 282 reversed 2. PMS 282 on white 3. Full colour reversed 4. Full colour on white 5. Black reversed 6. Black on white
To maintain consistent colour with your brand please ask any future designers you may engage to use following colour values: PMS 282 C:100 M:68 Y:0 K:54 R:0 G:46 B:95 Web hex: 002E5F
It has been a pleasure creating this logo for you. I wish you the best of luck in all future endeavors.
The EPS is the file for printing on billboards. It is made of vector artwork (complex lines from points A to points B) rather than pixels. You could enlarge this file to sit on the side of a jumbo jet or a sky scraper and it would remain as beautiful and crisp as ever. This file has all the variations you'll need.
Your print and/or professional will be able to open this EPS file if you cannot. If you reallt wish to open it yourself you will need to get a vector art programme such as Illustrator or corel draw.
I have to get to work now, but will prepare and email the versions of the logo that are in the EPS as 1000x800px jpegs. I'll send them to your email address that appears on the contract this evening when I return home.
I have emailed the files to your g-mail account. Please let me know if they have been received. The EPS you have requested has been sent in a separate email. As mentioned in the email, please remember to hit the approved button if you are happy with the files.
I would very much like to keep in contact with you to see how this logo is used in application.
