You're on to something. What you've provided us with is an agent of change - something actively, purposefully creating the ripples (change) We hadn't realized that until we saw this...and it hit a good note. We're not sure about the bird - still thinking about this new element you've given Can you do something which maybe replaces the bird with a dolphin jumping? Possible 2 dolphins, coming out of water at different points...maybe too busy.... WE LOVE THE BLACK - and we now think we want a logo that goes both ways perhaps with the only difference being the inversion of black background/white (maybe yellow like sun?) letters and a white background with black lettering. We think with the focus of continued multiple and more vibrant graphic as you are doing...we're backing off the statement about the color in the lettering...the color focal point should go back to the graphics - esp because you are offering us new food for thought there.
Like 117!!!...struggling with who/what the agent of change can be...if you have any additional thoughts, would love to continue to see them....wonder if a skipping stone could be conveyed? Not sure.... great work!!
Primarily 2 of us are judging this. We both agree you're doing good things for us. The owner of the company is not quite feeling it, but he is questioning now whether he is overthinking things...please read the general comment he posted...I believe you have a good chance of figuring out the WOW factor for him. Thank you for working on the dolphin - it informed us that you listen, value our feedback, even when it may seem off...it showed us also that we want a suggested agent of change (something you got which no one else did!) and not an actual one....skipping stone effect and maybe headed more abstract right now will help inform our choices....The dolphin work, by the way, was a charming little work of art - I wish we could use it.
I want to refer you back to the Bill Moyers website for an image which he continues to go back to - the colored boxes...I think he feels something like that only circles...I am not suggesting plagerism by any means, but what is hitting the right chord with him is the dynamic feel, the texture, the overlapping, which is not chaotic, but rather synergistic - a good coming together....
Getting nit-picky now. Don't like the different color on the dot of the i - draws the eye too much.
We're thinking we want two versions identical in all respects except a white background for print and a black background...(and anything white would go black and black would go white - but colors the same other). We're not sure how that works with the logo tournament - but we like yours for this in particular.
Curious about why you moved the green and purple...First instinct was to ask you to change them back, but we are reconsidering...think you had a reason to do it...
Can we try the logo removing the word "Resources" and seeing words both single line and double line?
The white background doesnt pop quite as much as the black - but not certain we could have a logo that would pop equally on both backgrounds anyway. You will know better than we can.
We mulled this over the weekend. We're divided in our assessments...one of us is very much a scientist and is not catching the "story" of the more abstract logo...he keeps going back to more concrete images and wants to see what you can do there...he's also the one less fond of the black background....
The new submissions were helpful - they convinced us that is not the way to go - too busy, too much going on. We're still thinking of you as the top artist - we're briefly promoting another design so that one other artist can present something we'd asked for earlier. I will be making sure we get the nit-pic details to you.
One thing we're pretty decided on - remove "Resources"
Thank you so very much...we know we have been asking alot
The consensus is that you are getting so close....
1. White background 2. no sun, dolphins, birds, stones, people or other specific concrete images 3. no "Resources" 4. the "i" in circle same color as the rest of the word
Less sure - we're divided on the actual front runner design of yours. I like the abstract, swirls He wants to see something like 113, with the images of the bird and sun removed, the colors more in line with what you used in the abstract (the red, rather than the orange/yellow). It the more ripple effect he likes. Maybe....but we did not like the solid color blocks behind the last few (142)...the texture of the swirls in abstracts ones are just gorgeous....can we get that effect in the ripple one? Say 142 without the person, sun, stone...the cross over of the ripples between colors is awesome too.
I know we're going back and forth alot, and I thank you for your patience. Your design will be promoted back to the 1 spot in a few hours.
#151 - he keeps coming back to it - feels the ripples may be too faded into background, but still not sold on the boxes as background (he's really stuck on circles) He'd like to see the words in all black, or blue/black, straight line as well as stacks on each design. He feels you are close, but just missing on the idea of radiating and intersecting ripples - this has a swirly feel to him, and he really wants ripples...color-wise - he wants to send you in particular back to the billmoyers logo for inspiration.
151 is the top choice - we're trying to determine if you still want in. We want the ripples to stand out more - the blue at the bottom is fading out to us just a tad...we like the way it is offset. He'd like to see if they can overlap some way/intersecting with a slight color change or something that shows that the communities can come together to create new...we understand this is a challenge not to get muddy - of all the artists we've seen, we have most confident in your abilities..
we'd like the FULL to not be green - black or dark blue? That alone may make a difference.
Can you just let us know if you want to stay in? We'd like very much for you to.
He's really looking at 149 too - he visually keys in on the boxes not the ripples - where I love the texture of the color boxes...Can we round the boxes out maybe? He is turning away anything that has boxes and squares in it....the more circles without getting chaotic the better. What we like about that one is that the ripples cover more areas...they overlap without chaos....I am trying to find out middle ground that he loves... we'll move you into number 1 position as soon as we know you want to be there....
No one else is really coming close...we really want to see if you are willing to play a tiny bit more with this....comments we've made the last few days,...
