Hi Charles, re. #24 Thanks for the new idea. I think it looks fresh and creative and references vision which is the critical component of photography. I have great respect for anyone that can pick visual ideas out of the sky like this.
Hi Charles, I still like #24 the best but wondered if you could try a couple things with it. I would be interested to see how it would look with blue/green instead of red/yellow? Thanks for your contributions!
I wonder if on #36 we could play with the font a bit. I can see right now that the space on either side of the A are bigger than the spaces between other letters. I am not positive what would be best, maybe an example with lower case? maybe compress the space between the letters? I really still like this design, just not sure about the font.
I really like 70, 68 & 69 versions. Great to see it looks good reversed on black. I like the use of a bit of a highlight/gradient to light in the eye. In portraiture, we normally want the main catchlights in the eye to be at 10 o'clock or 2 o'clock. There is always a very subtle lightening of the iris color of the eye on the opposite side lower. Therefore a 10 o'clock catchlight will give a catchlight echo at 4 o'clock on the other side. I did a little example of it here. I hope your realize I would never copy your logo and this is just a working copy to let you know what look I am going for. I guess you are designing in illustrator and not sure if you can put this kind of "shine" as I have shown it. This is just a pixel based little file. I also would likely like to buy the font this is in so I could use it in some of our materials. Can you adjust leading in the type? I would never do it except for this kind of case where we will use it for some time. The link to look at my example is http://frazerstudio.com/logo-catchlights.png and I would like to do that effect in the three versions.
If you would prefer not to do this til after the tournament, I understand. I would just like to make sure that this is possible in a vector file. I know very little about them.
