Francis Scott Key Family ResortLogo Design Contest

I fighured I should start a thread about our amenities to see if we can get rolling... I would like to feature our main lodge building along with some of our highlights - Our Miniature Golf, Pirate Ship Sprayground, Indoor Pool and beach shuttle. We offer a resort feel and emphisize kids having fun. We have previously themed pirate cartoons as our characters but would like to see some of the revolutionary type characters seen on our website.

I have just been reading some fourms and figure I should scale back on the details. How about a logo surrounded by characters enjoying our amenities, waterslides, mini-golf, swimming, the beach?

Do you want us to feature the TripAdvisor logo and the resort logo on the design?

OOPS - I accidentally cut/pasted a coworkers email. To answer my own question. Yes I would like to feature the TripAdvisor award and a Resort Logo.

My apologies for the confusion, however you state you would like a 'Resort Logo' on your logo to be designed. Are you referring to the red banner with 'Francis Scott Key' on it?

Also, under the stylistic slider, you chose 'Simple' over 'Complex'. Does this mean you're looking for simple illustrations (of 'characters enjoying our amenities, waterslides, mini-golf, swimming, the beach') to accompany the logo?

Thank you for your interest. We have flown the red "Francis Scott Key" banner for over 60 years and it is a recognized icon. We changed from Motel to Family Resort just a few of years ago. I would like to see our banner incorporating various Family Resort options. The banner could use a little "touching up" since it is over 60 years old.

My interpetation of 'simple' was in terms of silly & fun. I opposed 'complex' as in a corporate/professional feel. I am looking for simple cartoon type characters enjoying our amenities. Cheers. ~ Jim

I like the Banner in #7 and the Ship in #8. Like to see the banner perimeter "busy" with ammenities (Golfer, Ship and more). You can remove the house silouette. Would prefer more detail than sillouettes. Thanks!
