Ok. I like the duck. Can you animate him? Also, maybe in the first one, encompass the word with the water like the shape of a pond and somehow work in the duck?
#42 awesome. what a difference color makes! Could you give me an option with the tag line bigger? And maybe something with a little pizzaz of the company name? Maybe give the duck a second color on the top of his belly? By the way, your my wifes favorite, so a little more tweaking to give me more options just may get you the gold!
#32 #33 i really like the layout of this persons design. i like the "ponding" surrounding the lettering and i really like the lettering too. i suggested that he get rid of the plant because those represent to us what we are trying to kill in a pond, but they haven't responded with anything else. Is it "taboo" for you to "borrow" elements from someone else's design and incorporate it into your design if I say that is what i like?
I've changed the colour of the duck's outline to brown to make it stand out more, also realised the blue outline made the duck look a bit strange. Also changed slogan's colour to match/balance out with the brown. Only thing I'm worried about is the amount of colours/printing cost.
#54 Dont worry about the printing cost. I have another business that does that. Actually i was going to suggest even more colors on the mallard. They usually have a little more color on their wings. A couple bands of something like deep blue or a marroon or purple. I can have this digitally printed at this point for a fair price at this point. I like the thicker line of the water too. Lovin' the changes! Keep em coming!
Sorry just saw the previous comment, yeah I can't use the pond in that layout/form since the other designer was the one who applied it first, quite a grey area because you suggested a pond for #20. Overall, I'd prefer not to use it, but I'll try something else to add more water to the logo.
As for font similar thing, but I'll try find something less rigid than the one I've been using.
#57 Better! More color on the duck please. Wingtip color especially, thats what really makes a mallard duck stand out. Ok on the font issue, something similar if possible.
#71 well babo, i've been getting comments on the caracters perhaps not being too professional. i have also received a couple about the duck looking like a platipus (the bill is off a little) . what is your opinion as a designer on this whole thing?
Tricky question that! Honestly I don't have much experience with mascot logos. As for a personal opinion on logos in general but also depends on what/where they are going to be used, should work in it's most basic form of black/white/grey for fax/photocopy and also in full colour for signs/stationery & web, then limited by what the printing company or badge/tshirt etc. company can do. oops and still be recognisable in a very small size if needed for rubber stamp/corporate seal (not sure if they are needed in the US).
For #71 I think the duck still looks too dull/flat, so I could draw another one with more detail and dimension but will take a while and make it usable in b&w and colour. The beak I can change to be more realistic but may turn out too much like a normal beak if looked at from that angle.
But for now I'll upload 2 more rough ideas, the all blue one which is pretty much a combined version of #20 and #71, which should work fine on photocopy, colour and clothing but so far it seems you are looking for something fun and not so corporate. The other is of a bold font being clipped at the top in the shape of waves with the duck on top which is pretty much a simplified #71.
#202 Concept of gear rushing through water. Representing the overall technological water solutions not specific to fountains. oops sorry forgot the tagline! Will withdraw and reupload.
