#155 is my favorite of yours. I don’t really care for the shading over “wise” in #149 or #156.
Could you please create a version of it that:
1) Incorporates your #157 as the first letter; 2) Has the “wise” in all green; 3) And has the founder in thicker font, it does not have to be as thick as “wise” but it seems too thin now.
Then create a version of that new design with the “F” and “W” capitalized and the “Founder” in blue instead of gray.
Hello there - thank you for the feedback. I've submitted the changes as requested.
1. I've incorporated #157 in all versions. I thought this would be a good treatment for use of the single letter you mention in the brief. 2. "wise" is in all green in all versions. 3. "founder" is now slightly thicker, anymore and it would have been too close to "wise".
The color for "founder" in #195 and #196 is actually brown and shades of brown. Sometimes monitors do strange things to colors, you might want to use a couple of different monitors to check submissions just to make sure you are looking at something you really like.
The first letters for #197 and #198 are now capitalized. I also changed the color to two different blues.
Please take a look and let me know what you think.
Thanks for your revisions and your comments. I adjusted my monitor and now see the brown – Thank you.
#197 is my favorite of yours.
I would like to see a couple of revisions, and I need to point out something some people in the office saw when looking at your design. About 40% of the people who looked at it saw the close parenthesis as an “L” so the read “FLOUNDERwise” which is really not the message we want to convey. :-) I did not see that, but with such a large percentage noticing it I wonder if there is a way to change it subtly so that does not happen – maybe make the parentheses more curved? Or maybe make them extend further above and below the text? Please try this or something you think will work in the revisions.
The revisions I would like to see are:
First, start with #197 and add the slogan “like streetwise, only better” to it in italics and centered under the wordmark.
Second, start with #197 and make the “F” and ”W” lowercase and add the slogan “like streetwise, only better” to it in italics and centered under the wordmark.
Hey there - thanks for the great feedback! And yes, we don't want "flounder" anywhere near your brand -- lol.
I made the changes as requested -- The parenthesis are now more old-style and recognizable as such. Sometimes the eye becomes accustomed to registering print in a certain way. I think the problem with the previous font used for the parenthesis is that the font is newer and not used very often for parenthesis. So there could be some confusion. The new font is more like what appears in textbooks. Most of us will register it as it is meant instantly.
#245 has the new parenthesis, capital F and W, and the tagline in italics. #246 has the new parenthesis, lower-case f and w, and the tagline in italics.
If you want to see different colors for the tagline, please let me know. I decided not to add a third color to the design, but can if it isn't an issue with you. Two colors, especially these with no special effects will keep printing costs down.
If you would like any other changes, please let me know. Thanks again.
