I like this but would liek to see more variety and/or options based on this.
It is strong and clean and does a good job at communicating a innovative science/research organization.
My only concerns are with the 5 bars (reminds my of a cellular phone service metre) and the fact that this is a wordmark, not a lettermark. We really want to have a strong lettermark and eventually drop our full legal name form the logo (or have 2 versions... one with just the lettermark and tagline and one with the lettermark, tagline, and full legal name).
Play with it... I look forward to seeing a couple interpretations of this.
