#3, #4 - for your consideration - the utensil terror himself... foodzilla! let me know what you think! feedback is always welcome. best wishes in your contest.

sincerely,

Hey Bob - wicked first entries! really like where you're going with this - I was wondering if I could see variations of the utensil terror figure? maybe more of an attack stance (arms forward, head down) whatever you think is best. I'd like to also see current version but the spoon head needs to be altered (looks a little too much like a male body part, perhaps this should be a real dino-head/shape versus the rounded spoon? or a can-opener?) again, great entry!

Would also like to see different foodzilla font used - maybe something a little meaner/aggressive - that being said, I do like what is used but just would like to see variation. Regards

#15 - trying a different stance on the beast here, as well as the font. let me know what you think! i tried to add a little detail to the head, but still keep that 'all utensil' look. i'll keep workin'. if there's anything particular that comes to mind, don't hesitate to ask! thanks for the early feedback and ranking!

I still like the simplicity of your first two entries, the only piece throwing me off is the spoon head :)

i'll keep working at it! thanks!

#16 - does bending the spoon over fix that issue? just wanted to ask so i could give thought. i'm looking at trying to incorporate some other utensils. more to come!

pretty sweet new entries - I wonder if there's a way to make the font 'foodzilla' look appetizing like it's food? the one stance he's attacking the title, just tossing things out there - or what if you made the 'food' in #19 orange in colour like previous variations so he was going at the food and it stands out

#39 - adding some steam to the 'food' for effect
#38 - just the color change on the 'food'
#37 - i wanted to try adding a bit of perspective/depth to the spatula head, just to see what you think.

thanks for the feedback! let me know what you think.

good morning! i was wondering if there was anything else in particular you might like to see in the top 5 phase. font variations, color variations, etc. i keep peeking at the concept and reviewing it, but i want to make sure you see everything you want to see! please don't hesitate to ask. thanks!

#38 is my favourite so far, a couple things I'd like to see if possible:

- variation without grey line under
- variation with utensilsaurus scaled down a bit to be on same line as font
- variation with different solid colours of food font

#63 - original proportions, without the shadow
#64 - smaller proportion
#65, #66, #67, #68 - a middle ground on proportion, with color variation. i moved the 'zilla' to green with these to keep the color scheme simplified. if you want me to build on anything, just let me know!

thanks!

curious to know what your favourite is from a designer perspective at this point

could I see #68 with zilla in black

I like the green/orange/gray combo for colors. I put the two color (green text) in there because sometimes clients want fewer colors, so I just wanted to float the option out there. I think settling the terrible lizard into the 'middle range' proportion works well... not so large that it diminishes the text. I tend to like the shadow underneath, but only because it helps to create that scene of the monster chasing the food. Otherwise, I think it does just fine without!

Of course, since they've all got my name attached, I am a little biased ;)

I'll work up this variation for you. thanks for asking!

Thanks - so many good options...now I need your professional opinion, out of all the examples, which do you feel is the best overall from a scale and colour combination perspective

It's between #38 and #79, I'm torn - something about the black pops more, thoughts?

the black definitely stands out more. the gray has a bit of a softer tone to it. as i look more, i like the black by comparison.

in terms of the scale/proportion, i like the proportion you've had me working at for these last few. the positioning (having the shadow a bit lower than the text) works well - the text seems to look a little more natural when it is 'within reach' of the utensilsaurus.

in terms of my overall opinion, i can say i like where you've led the design with your suggestions. it's hard to make a final assessment from my end because i don't know exactly what else you have in mind (website style/color/layout). i can say that it's nice having the three color layout because it hopefully gives you some great options for accents on the site and any other media you might churn out in the future. having the black, that color scheme that pops, is nice for that reason.

hope that helps?
