Yes I've opened the folder and I'll make the adjustments you mentioned.
I believe that to use different colors for each sector is the best idea.
I'll submit new drafts shortly.
SO you need to adjust a bit everything but the idea is there.
- remove the circle in the center
- make the losange / diamond shape smaller
- keep the same circle around
Could you play with the text and the color? We are not sure about how to place the texte and how to make a variation of color with the title. If you have any idea's feel free to suggest
Hello Pink. Hope you're doing well. I will send you our last recommandation in the following minutes. This time we know what we want and it's a very little change from the #222
This one (218) is our favorite. The font is nice as well. Some last comments:
1. Could make the icon a little bit smaller ? FoodLab seems so small next to it.
2. Could we try to put a circle around the hexagon? Or another shape.
3. Could you try to add something creative to make it more distinctive.
Some ideas: - The circle could be a incomplete circle - The circle could be imperfect / handwritten - Radius could be added to symbolise the way ideas can shine or symbolise the multiple activities of the Foodlab. But its just suggestions, you are the creative one :-)
1. could you try to have a more handy/smooth/modern touch with the icon. It looks a bit too much mechanical. Like you can do in your previous logo's displayed on your profile.
2. Maybe you could also play with the thickness or opacity of the diamond shape compared to the circle. (not sure about it, feel free top propose some tests)
3. Text: it looks a bit massive compared to the icon. see what you can do. Maybe placing the texte on the bottom., a bit smaller.. The letter spacing can be wilder as well.
Personally I find this new font very nice, it's elegant, rounded and condensed.
You have to make a decision if the "FOOD LAB" is going to be written in black or negative. This decision will affect the color pallette of the backrounds, light or heavy colors.
Here's the first round of the different versions, #172, #173, #174.
FYI the frame is dark grey, do you prefer it in black?
I'll search for another font type just to compare which one fits better...
2. Could you make the black square shape a little bit more visible/thick (a little bit)
3. We like the color tone. Could you make two other versions with other background colors + Brussels with (1) CAFE and (2) Agency. Each activity will have its own identity (colors) so we would love to see that example with you.
#164, #165 variations.
Since we're in top 5 phase I prefer to build on my submitted concepts rather than to introduce something completely new.
Thank you,
Pink
Hello Pink, thanks again for your work. On the logo you have provided Brussels is way too much important. It should be Food Lab or FOODLAB (in one word or two) and the Brussels / Café / Agency etc. is secondary. We would like you to try another idea, without the initials FL. We like the colorful graphical -squares - triangle shapes around the logo.
Could you try a new one with rectangle/triangle shapes and without FL
Hello Pink,
Thank you , this is really creative and interesting.
The problem is that the we dont see "Food Lab" as much as "brussels"the emphasize is the word Brussels while it should be on the food lab.
We thought this might be an inspiration for you as well: https://pin.it/ScZLmpx
Could you move "Brussels" out of the square and put it aside. We will have various entities: Food Lab Brussels / Food Lab Café / Food Lab Agency ... SO we can play with colours and words and keeping the same distinctive square icon.
Another concept, #46, that looks like a chemical compound.
At the centre there's a plate to portray the business area, that connects people.
The square frame symbolise the building.
Hello,
Here's my concept #45 that looks like a chemical element "FL", which of course doesn't exist!
If you notice I've placed on top right corner the number 119 and all the elements which are identified are 118.
So Food lab it's the new fresh "element" that was discovered in food market.

a) #227, #229
b) #228, #230
The font is Art Future, bold for FOODLAB, medium for the sector.
All texts have almost the same kerning.
For my samples I've used a small word "CAFE" and a big word "BRUSSELS" to see how they work for all cases.

1. could you change the font and have something more round and elegant. Please have a look to this logo: https://www.behance.net/gallery/41297197/FOODLAB
2. Try stronger colours. More connected to food. same inspiration could be found on this page: https://www.behance.net/gallery/41297197/FOODLAB
yellow lemon
aubergine
red tomato
3. Brussels should appear a bit more secondary. maybe try BRUSSELS -> Brussels. Or with a lighter font. ..
thanks again!

Like tiles in a kitchen (could be triangular). Be careful: FOOD LAB (in one or two words) in the main element. Brussels is secondary.
thank you very much for your work.
