What We Do
FOG FILMS: Fog Films is a production company based in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada. We craft narrative films, documentaries, and series shaped by immersive atmosphere and compelling visual storytelling.

ABOUT US : Hailing from the misty port city of Saint John, New Brunswick, Fog Films is passionate about stories grounded in character and place - leaning into the mood, mystery, and atmospheric depth inspired by the region. Led by award-winning filmmaker Spencer Hetherington, Fog Films builds on over a decade of independent filmmaking experience. We’re creating a home for bold, immersive storytelling across narrative films, documentaries, and series - crafting distinct work that entertains and leaves a lasting impression.

TARGET AUDIENCE - Fog Films primarily appeals to adult viewers who are curious and thoughtful, drawn to immersive, moody storytelling that explores the human experience, sometimes dark and unsettling. These audiences appreciate films and documentaries with rich atmosphere, emotional depth, and authentic, distinct narratives. Lovers of independent cinema.

Our Ideas & Additional Information
*UPDATE*: I would like to see some creative ideas that combine two F's into a symbol.

I want the logo to have just a little bit of retro feel to it. I've attached some retro film logos as references. I don't want it to look fully retro but just retro inspired.

Atmospheric & moody – evoking fog, mist, depth, or mystery.

Cinematic – suggestive of film and visual storytelling without being too literal or cliché. No generic clip art.

Minimal yet evocative – clean, professional, and versatile across film credits, posters, social media, and merchandise.

Timeless – not overly trendy, but distinct and memorable.

Design Ideas (open to interpretation):

Subtle use of fog/mist textures or silhouettes (not overly busy).

A typographic focus with unique lettering—possibly bold, slightly weathered, or atmospheric in style. Possibly making FOG big and central and films smaller.

Shapes or imagery that hint at cinema.

A nod to our Saint John coastal identity—such as abstracted water, cliffs, or lighthouse-inspired.

Black, white, and grayscale palette (with the option for touches of colour).

I've also attached some sample ideas of logos.
