Our Ideas & Additional Information
*UPDATE*: I would like to see some creative ideas that combine two F's into a symbol.
I want the logo to have just a little bit of retro feel to it. I've attached some retro film logos as references. I don't want it to look fully retro but just retro inspired.
Atmospheric & moody – evoking fog, mist, depth, or mystery.
Cinematic – suggestive of film and visual storytelling without being too literal or cliché. No generic clip art.
Minimal yet evocative – clean, professional, and versatile across film credits, posters, social media, and merchandise.
Timeless – not overly trendy, but distinct and memorable.
Design Ideas (open to interpretation):
Subtle use of fog/mist textures or silhouettes (not overly busy).
A typographic focus with unique lettering—possibly bold, slightly weathered, or atmospheric in style. Possibly making FOG big and central and films smaller.
Shapes or imagery that hint at cinema.
A nod to our Saint John coastal identity—such as abstracted water, cliffs, or lighthouse-inspired.
Black, white, and grayscale palette (with the option for touches of colour).
I've also attached some sample ideas of logos.
