Color Preferences
Gold and black have worked well, but we are open to other colors. We usually have a black cap, and two black bands on the top and bottom of each label so that our current gold label will contrast nicely with the black, otherwise it tends to get lost. Keep in mind that this logo will go on all of our labels. The background color on our labels tend to be dark blue, burgundy and black. Currently, it is gold, which doesn’t go well with our yellow colored labels, but looks good against the darker colors. We have labels in many sizes and colors so this logo will need to work well with them. Visit our website at www.fitnesslabs.com <http://www.fitnesslabs.com> or you can see them all at www.nutritionexpress.com <http://www.nutritionexpress.com> by visiting the Fitness Labs brand.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
There are several brands that are similar to us such as BSN, MuscleTech and Gaspari, but they are a little more hard-core sports nutrition than we want to be. Garden of Life is an example of a brand that is too far into the “natural” side. Although we have a lot of sports nutrition products, we also have many products that are designed to address various health concerns including bone, joint, heart, diet and prostate. Because we have a broad range of products, we want a logo that will appeal to a broad age range. We would like a modern sports nutrition feel without being over the top, hard core edgy. You can visit our website at www.fitnesslabs.com <http://www.fitnesslabs.com> to learn more about our products. We would potentially like some kind of icon that creates some movement, or is an abstract picture or a person running, but is very stylized so as not to look too thin or too strong or too weak.

Discussion

Hello Designers,
Keep the submittals coming. On Monday, we'll give more specific feedback. Don't be afraid to step outside the box a little try options you're thinking about.

We are always looking for a little more of a horizontal logo (maybe 3-4 times wider than it is tall). Try options where "Fitness" and "Labs" are on the same line. Also try different fonts for each word or keep them the same with a color change.

Can we see some more versions with one of the letters replaced by some icon, but maybe not the first character in each word as it may hurt readability. Replacing the letter "I" is a good option. Or do a letter replacement with the letter "T" where maybe it is the shape of a person with outstretched arms, palms up, fists clenched (showing strength). Or do both letters "SS", not sure what to do, but can you simulate some running action of 2 people with their arms and legs moving in such a way that they look like "SS". They can be realistic or very symbolic.

Thanks!

Thanks for the creative ideas everyone! Here is some more feedback. We would like to see an option with FITNESS LABS in one line and not stacked. No people in the letters. We would like to have an FL icon to the left side of the logo. The icon and font style need to have a sports feel.

Thanks!
