Hello and Thank You ! I Like your comments.... This is a good direction....clean, colorful, modern, 3 lines for our 3 G's and a biblical number too ! We are in the heart of the city with the mountains behind us.....I wonder if there is too many mountian profiles for tennessee. God's Blessings on your life and talents !
I have to be careful not to be to allegorical here. It could cause your messag to get lost...but this idea is meaningful on so many levels...
I used a similar tri-mountain idea, This time, I used them to form a valley...with a glow coming not from beyond it (like a sunset) but from WITHIN it.
This concept of a light in the valley, represents both your church within a literal valley, and the guidance of God in the valleys of life...Much like he led the His children of Israel. If you threw the words Glorify, Glow and Grow. into a blender it could easily all come together to form the word "glow". We are after all called to do that very thing in a dark world.
I remind all of my clients of this, but in Gods service it holds true all the more: This logo/icon will not only serve as a brand for your church, but an inspiration for its leaders...and followers. My dad has spent 30 years in full time ministry. 17 now as a pastor. He would be the first to tell you he still has days where he'll take every source of God given inspiration he can get!
It also looks like a bird soaring if used alone.....spirtiual as well. Love the "GLOW" coming from within vs. beyond......maybe the darkness should be more of a color ??? Thank you for sharing your insight too.....we really like the idea of having a "NIKE swoosh" logo that stands alone without the name.........that is something we have not been able to achieve and hope this is on the right track. thank you for your time & talents..... the 3G's may only be a temporary thing as far as a "tag line" , so we are not really limited to tie it into the logo ...even though you have done it without overdoing it......music is a huge thing for us.......praise music and traditional hymns. check out David Crowder's website and the cover of Chris Tomlins Passion Cd with "God of this City" on it....
I will be out of town until Sunday night...I will resume working on your logo then. Are you referring to the "Passion" logo itself? Are you thinking maybe a initial or wordmark like DCB uses? or are you refering to the overall organic feel that they both give?
...and am I the only one who has always wondered what David Crowder is hiding under all that hair? My youngest (3 yrs) daughter says..."He (DC) has a lot of fuzzies"
Thanks for the feedback. Have a great weekend. I will check my messages while I'm away, but wont be able to do any updates until Sunday night or Monday.
Hello ....hope you had a great time..... It is mainly the "feel" and colors and vitality and creativity......of DCB and passion and chris tomlin's Love CD......( funny comment on DC hairdo by the way ) ...... YOur logo is obviously "still in the lead".....we have been wondering how it would stand alone without the name of the church or the 3 G's.....have you seen the ORANGE CONFERENCE logo that the RETHINK group uses ??? they minister alot to college, but it is also an OVERALL FAMILY BLENDING that they are appealing to.......see if you get any new VIBES !!! GOD BLESS YOU And DC's HAIR !
Here is a simple stand alone icon that has abstract mountains and still has a theme of "3"...it is something that can go without the words. It will work nice as a web button, web icon or favicon also...
Here is a another simple stand alone icon that also has abstract mountains and still has a theme of "3"...It will work nice as a web button, web icon or favicon also...
This is like the previous entry. I just thought we'd do something to make it stand alone even better. The "1" and "P" fuse together in the icon to represent First and Presbyterian.
what about a combo version of 6 AND 112 ..... ray of light from #6 ??/ maybe in a cool blue ? or do number 6 in a different color variation....adding olive green, blue , orange and then the ray of light in yellow ???? just an idea...........
thanks so much, we obviously like the direction of this logo..... need to add Johnson City, TN and tweek the colors somewhat still not quite right........
Like the bolder images, but not the "curl" downward on the end..... also....the light rays seem a little fairytale / crown and the more faded one is a little rainbow, but i do like the subtle ray of light.......147 and 164
163 and 151 have nice blues, but the blending of the colors are still not there either too warm or too muted....
Without the swooshy tail ;-) This is a new color swatch just to see what it would look like. Keep in mind the color options are endless...once we nail down the actual design we can get the colors anywhere they need to be...also by rules of the site, I am allowed to keep working on designs after the contest ends as long as I am ranked 1st. I am also willing to give you multiple final file color options (should you choose me)...I do this at no cost...so You can have a few variations to chose from for different purposes down the road should need arise....including black and white. Some of the ideas you listed (DCB etc...) create a look with backgrounds etc....these designs I have created will work nicely even in a solid white or cream against a cool background. The key is simple versatility.
Also beware of the copycats...they show up on the last day. I notice a lot of designs resembling mine...make sure and check the name. Some will flat out copy at the end to steal the contest. Sad but true.
#6 - Thank You soooo much. Please add "Johnson City, TN" to the logo (in place of the GLorify, Grow, Go) as a FINAL option. I think we have decided. We are very appreciative of all you have done.
Happy Friday.....OK.....ready to approve.....last requests:
I like the darker text like in entry #144 and colorway and t size of the typeface...
Here are the list of files that we would want: entry #6 with the darker ( black ) text like #144 entry #144 with Johnson City, Tn instead of G... the logo / image by itself without text black and white version of the whole logo ( with image and text ) grayscale tones typeface / name alone without image
my email is birdysnest@yahoo.com thank you so much, debbie imsande
You must approve the file through Logo Tournament before I can release the additional files to you. (I can only upload 1 file through Logo Tournament - thats all it allows) This is standard practice. Otherwise there would be no way to protect our work. The additional colors and grayscales are just courtesy on my part. I am sorry for the misunderstanding. By rule we need to finish the transaction here. I will gladly rush the additional files to you at that time.
I have resent with the darker writing, and Johnson City. BUT I am only allowed to upload the one file. The site only allows for one .eps file on our end.
