I am getting input from a few in our organization and will get back to you. Excellent work. And thank you. 3 years ago Scoggins commented on #144 Withdrawn I put two markups on this one. Can you recreate each, on separate files, staying within the color scheme you've already created? I like the recent update you did with the blue ring hitting the flame and making the cross. It's very subtle. I want to see what it looks like if it is a little more separate. 3 years ago Scoggins added markup for #144 Withdrawn 3 years ago Scoggins commented on #144 Withdrawn This is amazing! I love the little details you've added subtly...the embers coming off the larger flames and the reversal of color flow from one side to the other. I have one more request. Can you add a subtle cross into the logo? Either in between the blue ring and flame or perhaps make the ember coming off the top red flame into a cross shape. Please keep it abstract, in similar curvatures as the flames themselves. Same color scheme as well. 3 years ago bej_jo commented on #129 Withdrawn I will help the file later until it's finished 3 years ago Scoggins commented on #129 Withdrawn I like that this has 4 distinct pieces to the flame and can definitely see that it will break apart nicely to make unique identifiers for our four areas of focus. I also like the color selections you have. There are three slight adjustments and a request I’d like to make before we finalize this. 1) can you add the ring around the flames on this logo, but give it 2-3 small flame tips so it as well becomes a piece that can be split out? 2) could you create an example where the “I” in FiRE is lower case and the flame itself makes the dot of the “I” Could you reverse or invert or change hue of the color on one of the two outside flames? This will make each side of the flame a bit more unique. (I may not like it when I see it as I really appreciate the way these all flow together and want to keep that fluidity in tact). Request- will the files you share when this is all finalized include the individual elements of the design so we can move them around on our website and in letterheads to signify one area of focus? That will be very helpful for us. 3 years ago bej_jo commented on #129 Withdrawn okey thanks .... I am happy to hear that, and to work with your 3 years ago Scoggins commented on #129 Withdrawn You've done a great job of getting us incredibly close to the logo for our organization. I have moved you to the top ranking and look forward to working with you over the next couple of days to make some minor changes and finalized the design. Congratulations! And thanks again. I will provide a few comments for you to begin working on the revisions in a few minutes. 3 years ago bej_jo commented on #134 Withdrawn of course I hopefully, ... until now I am still trying to be the 1st 3 years ago Scoggins commented on #134 Withdrawn Hello. Thank you for your great work on helping to create logo ideas. I wanted to let you know we will be making a decision in the next 2 hours. You are definitely in the discussion. I will let you know soon. 3 years ago bej_jo commented on #118 Withdrawn ok, ... I'll make an effort for it 3 years ago Scoggins commented on #118 Withdrawn I have you in 2nd after getting feedback from several trusted friends and thinking through the many ways we will use the logo. You have done a great job on this and taken my feedback and turned it into a very appealing, creative design. I'd like to have you give it one more try with the following feedback. What is most appealing about the other logo is that it is very clearly a fire and the individual pieces that make the fire, when split out into individual pieces are still very clearly fires. I also see 4 very distinct pieces with unique color schemes and shapes/sizes of flames. I feel as though the design you have is not as clearly a fire and the individual elements of the fire would be much more abstract and difficult to see as being fire. If you want to give it one more try, taking the feedback above, I will gladly wait until the morning to choose a winner. It is 6:40 pm. EST where I am. I would like to wrap this up by 8 a.m. EST tomorrow. Thanks again for all your work on this. Let me know if you want to submit one more. 3 years ago bej_jo commented on #118 Withdrawn ok ... thank you, I will wait for good news from your 3 years ago Scoggins commented on #118 Withdrawn This looks so good! Thank you. I will make a decision soon. I might ask for some small changes, but do not have any at this time. 3 years ago Scoggins commented on #115 Withdrawn I like this new version. The colors are much better and the font/style are good. I just need to see the flames without the icons in them. Please do one more, keep everything the same except, remove the icons from the flames. Thank you. 3 years ago Scoggins commented on #93 Withdrawn Thank you for your new edits. I've come back to this one after comparing it to the later versions. I appreciate so much your efforts in getting the icons into the flames. However, after seeing it done, very well by you, I think it is too much and would like to remove the icons. I'd request that you work with this logo specifically to do so. I think the teardrop shape and white space between the distinct pieces of the large flame actually appeals to me more than the broader flames I requested. As far as colors go, I love the way you done the text and that hue of blue is a keeper in the text and the flames. I would like to see another hue of blue in one of the other flames and then two red/oranges for the other two unique flames. I will let you suggest the hues based on what I've shared regarding my tastes, knowing that I want to stay away from primary hues. We are getting down to the end of the competition and it is a very narrow race. Really down to just two of you. I am new to this process and appreciate greatly your efforts and success in taking my inexperienced feedback and bringing it to life. Looking forward to seeing this come together. 3 years ago bej_jo commented on #94 Withdrawn ok, ... i will try for the best ... 3 years ago Scoggins commented on #94 Withdrawn These colors and flame shapes are even better! I love this. We still need to change the icons to either: 1) something more abstract OR 2) watermarks instead of outlines of the flames Again, this is primarily because the position of the people appears as though their heads are on fire. (got this feedback from friends and family). I think I would prefer to just use different icons for fitness and trainings/teaching because I really like this concept of giving the flames their shape with the icon. But I would like to see both if possible. I'm so excited to see this coming together. 3 years ago Scoggins commented on #93 Withdrawn I love the colors. After getting feedback from a couple of family and friends, I'm wondering if we can try two separate changes. Heres why. The boldness of the icons, the ones with people in them, combined with the shape of the flames can appear as though either the people are on fire, or, they are cartoon trolls. 1) Is it possible to either do a bit more abstract representations in the icons? 2) Or, instead of having them make the shape of the flames, use them as watermarks in the flames? This is almost there. I am so thankful for your work on this and know we can get there. 3 years ago bej_jo commented on #92 Withdrawn OK.... i will change 3 years ago Scoggins commented on #92 Withdrawn I really like this one. I marked up the flames, very poorly, to demonstrate one edit I'd like to try. I feel like the flame looks a little too teardrop like and am wondering if it is possible to fan out the tips of the lower flames to make it look a little more like a fire. Also, could we get a pop of distinct color into each of the flames? Maybe replace the yellow with the blue/green in one. Use the dark blue instead of yellow in another and a little red on another. This way, on our website and in individual logos for the areas of focus we have the icon and the color as distinct markers. I am really excited about this one. It's so close. I love the icons making the shape of the flames. Thank you for your great work...we are very close to a winner! 3 years ago Scoggins added markup for #92 Withdrawn 3 years ago bej_jo commented on #57 Withdrawn Sorry for the late response, I'll do your request ... and hopefully what you want 3 years ago Scoggins commented on #57 Withdrawn I am assuming as finalist you can now see the other four designers submissions as well. Is this correct? There are elements of each one that we really like. There are also elements that are missing from each one. Please take a look and see if you can come up with a variation of your logo that has the following characteristics: Communicate the four areas of focus (Sports, Fitness, Adventure, and Trainings) with icons subtly incorporated into the shape of the flames, almost hidden in them. The four distinct flame pieces that make one flame should be able to be separated out to be used to represent their area of focus on a sitemap on the website we are creating. When combined together, they make the Fire logo flame. I like your use of icons. Its very clear what the four areas of focus are. I think the directional ring makes this too busy however. And I'd love for you to create a flame that has the blues and greens you've used as parts fo the flame with the white spaces in the icons creating the shapes at the base of the flames. You've got a great start here and are in the top five! Looking forward to seeing the next iteration. 3 years ago Scoggins commented on #57 Withdrawn I really like this. I'm wondering if there is a way to keep the representation of the four areas of focus, yet make them a bit less front and center. I'd like the flame to be the centerpiece, with all the colors as part of the flame and the emblems you've used can perhaps simple form breaks in the flame. Im not sure if that makes sense. I'm obviously not a designer. Great start! 3 years ago
