Our Ideas & Additional Information
My great grandfather bought our farm almost a century ago and named it Fernhill Farm awhile later. I've seen signs on the farm with Fern Hill (two words) Farm as well. I've read a poem by Dylan Thomas called Fern Hill that talks about his youth and him being in an apple orchard that I rather liked. I think I like the single word "Fernhill" Farm better.
We also have ferns that grow along a stream that runs through our property. The New Brunswick buy local logo has a picture of a couple fiddleheads (before they become ferns) on it. I've included the design.
I like simple designs like Penguin clothing, apple computers, my fiancee likes Lululemon and Moksha yoga and a "swing" logo which I included, and we support our local economy anyway possible. I would rather buy something made in Canada, even if it more expensive to me. I think that is important!!!!!
We really want this design for a farm sign at the foot of our farm (you can't see the farm from the road as we live on a hill, and until we get a store built many people new to the city drive by not knowing there is even a farm where we are located.
