Thank you so much for your entry!

With regard to Entry #1 Doxie needs to have a bit more personality and not get "lost" in the lettering. Almost exclusive use of monochromatic color for Doxie causes bland appearance. Think more in terms of shading, or lighter color. "F" in "Fat" should always be capitalized."Fat Doxie" is a bit difficult to read. Great use of blue color and the idea of the Doxie going through the loops is superb! Not thrilled with the orange. Also love the highlighted "x" for offset.

Thank you for the revisions!

Much easier to read! I believe the removal of orange did the trick. Here are some additional comments:

With regard to Entry #9 "sandwiching" of dog appears off. Right now dog appears to be splitting the "D" as opposed to coming through the loop. Same thing with the letter "o." There is also residual bleeding on the black stroke vis a vi the doxie body on back. Wonderful expression on doxie face! Perhaps adjust upper ear flap as right now it looks a bit "wonky." ;)

Stroke on "Doxie" is a bit thick. Perhaps reduce pt size. For some reason I can't articulate, "Fat" just isn't sitting right. We don't like the color, that is certain. But, we do like where it is sitting in relation to the logo. Perhaps it's the font? We do think it was a good idea to bold it - don't know what else to say.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

#12 inspired by the Picasso image of the breed!

I will work on it a bit later... give some other designers a chance to compete!

You know, we actually love Entry #12 and love Picasso. I wonder if there is anyway to make him a bit more interactive and the colors a bit bolder?

Also with regard to #12, could you try some different fonts? Something edgier and/or blockier a la Picasso?

Comments on #23

My goodness! What to do? We like all the individual elements of #23, but not together! Picasso Doxie just does not work with interaction. At least, we don't see it now. Do you? Could you do a couple of hits at #12 with different fonts/color schemes? And, for #23, We really like the layout. Perhaps the doxie from #9 can make an appearance somehow?

We really like the doxie in #12. Really. Would love to make it work.

Cheers.

sweet - love the long hair ones... they were not even known when I had Rudy... such expressive faces!
the first time I saw a long hair was in Germany in 1969 when I was a traveler....

Can you please adjust the kerning a bit in #25? The letters are a bit tight.

Also, would you be willing to have the dog in #9 make an appearance with the typeface in #23 (withdrawn)?

May we please see #12 with a slightly bigger dog and multi-colored lettering?

Yeah, O.K. You're right. We in admin see it. We want to leave it up for the focus group though. We still want to try and incorporate some color into #12 - we love that design. Do you have any ideas?

One major difference to notice is that with some entries you need to use gradients to make it look right. Depending on what you are doing with the logo this might be a difference to pay attention to. Maybe ask your printers about this.

for example it is good to have a 1 color version of the logo to print on merchandise to keep the cost down.

Just a factor to consider.

because my primary business is printing on promotional materials, I try to consider this when designing logos.

Of course. Thank you. We have factored in that #12 would look good in a simple b/w no matter what color combination.
