Diamond Contest
We're sorry, but this contest is presently open to a limited pool of designers.
Providing ranking and feedback often throughout the duration of your contest is the best way to ensure you get the highest quality results. We understand many Contest Holders are very busy, and any time you are able to communicate with the designers is much appreciated. Leaving a contest unranked, or with little or no feedback discourages designers from entering and may reduce your number of entries.
You may leave comments to all the designers through the general comments board at the bottom of your contest page or individually by clicking submitted entries and posting there. You will find that most designers are open to your suggestions and are happy to make any requested changes as long as they don’t involve copying elements from other entrants.
When your contest ends and goes into the judging phase the designer who has an entry in the #1 ranked position is still able to submit entries. This enables you to work very closely with that designer to tweak the concept to utter perfection.
When you select your final winner, you will also have the opportunity to award a 2nd and 3rd place trophy to 2 different designers, as well as additional ranked ribbons for the other concepts in your contest you feel deserve recognition.
All of the designers on this site have an overall ranking. This rank is determined by the number of points we have. It’s a consolation prize of sorts for those designers who worked very hard for your contest, but were not selected as winner.
The point allocation is as follows: 1st - 50 points 2nd - 20 points 3rd - 10 points 4th - 5 points 5th - 5 points 6th - 3 points 7th - 3 points 8th - 3 points 9th - 3 points 10th - 3 points 11th+ - 1 point Entries that are left with “New/Unranked” or “Not interested” status receive no points.
Thank you for taking the time to read this post, and for helping us create the perfect logo for you and your company.
bril·liant (brlynt) adj. 1. Full of light; shining. See Synonyms at bright. 2. Relating to or being a hue that has a combination of high lightness and strong saturation. 3. Sharp and clear in tone. 4. Glorious; magnificent: the brilliant court life at Versailles. 5. Superb; wonderful: The soloist gave a brilliant performance. 6. Marked by unusual and impressive intellectual acuteness: a brilliant mind; a brilliant solution to the problem. See Synonyms at intelligent. n. A precious gem, especially a diamond, finely cut in any of various forms with numerous facets.
First of all, I am amazed at the talent of all of the artists. This is something that I cannot do. As for the rankings, they are somewhat meaningless as you see several derivations of similar logos holding various ranks. My process is to eliminate the logos that I feel won't work. Some are too symetrical, and / or corporate. And others are slight vatiations on logos that I have left up on the board. It is what is still on the board that counts.
The beach themes are on point. The spirals are on point. The bright (brilliant) colors are on point. Volleyball is secondary, but it is what I do for a living. Surfing, surf, water, sub, sunsets, stars, swirls, are all on point.
I am asking that for any new submissions that you do three things:
Spell "Brilliant" correctly, and capitalize the "B".
Sprell "from" correctly, it is not "form."
Pay no attention to the current rankings, but see what is on my radar.
