Here you go a scketch based on your brief where you can ask for any changes or make any suggestions.
As you can see, I've applied a light effect besides the 3D and gloss one. The shaddow also makes the logo pop from the background. If you like it, I can apply same effects to the blue bold text. If it sounds promising, even after contest ends submissions are possible for the 1st ranked designer.
Kind regards,

Claudia

Hi! Here you go another entry, with the text connected to the symbol in terms of the new layout, making the whole group a coherent piece when used along with the symbol. The 3D and light effects follow the correct light distribution allowing a pleasent look.
I'm at your service for any suggestions,

Claudia

I like the way that you have brought the text and the symbol together as a cohesive unit. The only issue on first glance is the abrupt end to the highlights within the E and G. Thank you for your contribution and your understanding of our design brief.

Good morning. Here you go 3 options for the text gloss; in this one, I've made the gloss shape end inside the letters, and then it vanishes in round shapes on both sides, like the e symbol gloss...

On this one, I've applied a feather on the gloss to make it more subtle and without the marked line in the middle of the text and on it's sides...

And on this one, I've made the gloss till the end of the text, following the dynamic gloss shape in same way through the complete text. If any sounds promising, any changes can be submited by the 1st ranked designer.
Wish you all the best to your contest and brand,

Claudia
