Designs #68, #69, & #70 -- All have colors and textual elements that we have refined during the tournament. The round graphics in designs #68 and #69 and shield/oval graphic in design #70 miss our desire to have something motorcycle oriented into the logo. These shapes are great, but the viewer must read the name to know what we're about. Some of the other designers/artists have zeroed in on the use of a tachometer, which ties directly to the sportiness of both BMW and Ducati motorcycle brands.One artist/designer used the 3D perspective of a gear, which was also nice; however, the tachometer seems to be easy to incorporate into the design. We also get concerned about shading when being used in embroidery or print on garments.
Thank you very much for the feedback. The oval shape was a try at a gas tank, though I think with a chrome cap on the top it might be more recognizable. I'll certainly work on some ideas taking all you've written into account.
