A glossy version for referencce, although glossy may be good for web , the style doesn't translate well for printed & embroidered merchandise, large banners, stationery etc. I personally agree with your "less is more". If a design is good and strong enough, it should stand out by itself wihtout the need for 'dressing it up' with special effects.

A rotatable tile device, 2 of these lock together to form a square, a perfect tesolation. Slightly offset here for maximum effect. Would work excellently as a motion graphic. Other variations also.
