Re: #33 - it's only a minor change, but I've mirrored the icon so the door opens to the right... it just seemed more logical.
I'm about to log off for the night but, if you have any thoughts about ways to develop #33 (or the concept in #14), please let me know and I will work on them tomorrow.
Hello Steve, I spoke with my business partner and she loved it!! (Speaking about #33) her only question is what would it look like should we do a black and white (Grey aswell) version, because her main worry is it being print friendly. Thank you so much for the entries they have all be pleasurable to view! As for #14 when your first submitted it i loved it, I thought or the maze games that get put into kid birthday party bags. I just think that it is to basic to resemble what it is our company is.
As far as developing #33 further, we both agreed that we disliked the font. Also Im not sure what it would look like (and this might be a complete design flaw if done) but if the outer edge of the cube was not the same color as the walls it might put more pop to the cube itself, again I dont know Im just throwing out ideas. However as I said earlier the concept of 33 is what we are loving right now.

It's a late-afternoon feeding frenzy here :) Once things settle a bit, I'll work on the design along the lines you've suggested and also upload a monochrome version.
I have uploaded three revisions - #107, #108 and #109.
#107 has a black border to differentiate it from the internal walls. Seeing the uploaded image on screen, I'm not sure the black contrasts enough with the purple and I'll experiment further with different colours and/or tones.
#108 and #109 are two B&W versions, one in grayscale and the other in simple B&W.
I agree about #107, i dont think it contrasts enough and it merges to the purple. Also we absolutely LOVE #108 and #109. Our main concern was that and you showed it is 100% possible for it to still look good. Thank you for the new submissions!
Thank you for keeping me up to speed. I prefer the more recent font to the one we were using originally, Ill look around and let you know of a font style I prefer, but for now that font is a good place holder.
Hey Steve, I looked and have debated with my self about your latest 2 entries and I just dont care for them as much as I do #33 and #107, where I stand currently is between these two, so Im just unsure whether I like the black border or not, I will let you know asap. Also for the font, I am still looking and ofcourse will let you know. Thanks!
There is still plenty of time left... I will look for alternative solutions for the colour scheme.
Also, I wanted to get your view on the style of the outer hexagon. Are you ok with the rounded corners, or would you prefer I make the outer shape more angular to match the inner drawing?
And, looking mainly at #109 (the B&W version), do you think the white lines used to delineate the rooms is thick enough?
Hey Steve, yes i think the rounded corners are fine, I feel as though if we go with sharp corners it will give off a feel that I dont like (Cant name the feel, just maybe, "We're too good for you" sort of feel). If we made the white lines a slight bit thicker it definetly wouldnt hurt, and at that time should we see it just doesnt fit aswell as what you have currently made, then we will stick with #109's thickness. I will say that against grey the white lines get drowned out, and are impossible to see near grey (Not impossible, just very hard). Thanks again for everything!
Hey, so Ive been looking through fonts, I have a few I like, and I suppose I just want this type of style. Esphimere, I also like the style of font used in #112, and the last one I like is Walkway, but not the thin. I hope this can help you figure out the style were looking for.
Thanks for the guidance on the fonts. I'll experiment with those (or similar) tomorrow.
I just uploaded a revision with thicker lines - #126. How does this look? If it seems to work better for you in the colour version, I'll upload greyscale and B&W versions for comparison with the original.
And I really like Esphimere! :) It reminds me a little of 'Exo', but it's much cleaner. It's also a little like 'Play', but the rounded corners compliment the rounded corners in the icon.
I've uploaded a B&W version with Esphimere and will upload a greyscale one now for further comparison.
Just to bring things up-to-date, I've uploaded variations to #107 and #126 to include the latest font. By my reckoning, all four versions are now consistent.
It's just after midnight and I am about to log off. I'll work on refinements and new fonts experiments tomorrow.
Hello Steve, So I spent part of the evening showing off your logo design to my business partner and some of her employee's at her other business. It was almost unanimously agreed your logo was the best. But alot of people said they didn't care for the colors. So if we could just try out new color combiations. We all (Minus one person) really liked the purple, but the orange is sort of off putting, some suggested a lime green could go there, others said blue. Due to the fact I am color blind I wont be making to many color suggestions, but I trust you'll find something that is perfect. Thanks again!
I'm really sorry for the delay... I had planned to work on revisions during the day, but a hospital appointment and a couple of other personal matters have eaten up all my time so far.
I will have some time to dedicate to this in a couple more hours and will upload revisions before the end of the evening.

Hey Steve, I really like the green with the purple, but blue is close too. As for the fonts I think we want to stick with Esphimere, it just matches the rounded corners and has a really good look to it. Sorry for the late replies. I know we've consistently been using a certain shade of purple as the preferred main colour, but I thought there was no harm in looking at possible alternatives. I've uploaded a couple and will add to them during the day.
Hello Steve. Thank you for everything you have done for us. We totally agree about the font, it just looks spectacular. As for colors themselves, we really like the purple within #158, and the green within #138. We think it willl have good contrast and catch people's eyes. I do think that the logo itself is in the final stages and all that is left is color combinations. (Which we find very exciting!) If you could throw together that color combination we would love to see it aswell as anything else you come up with. Thanks!

I uploaded an example including a made up tagline (it seemed more authentic than typing "tagline goes here"). It's just to give you a feel for composition, should you decide to include one.

Hey Steve, gosh it has been a busy day. I like the way the tag line looks, but due to the fact that as a company we are so new, we dont have a tagline yet. I will write some ideas down tonight and get to you tomorrow. As for colors, #164 looks spectacular and has a great pop effect, it is definetly something my eyes naturally more towards. As far as the design itself goes, I have to say, it is amazing. I am looking so hard for something that has to be changed, and error, anything. i just cannot seem to find anything to criticize. I feel the logo matches the companies youthfulness as well as what it is we do.

I was previously unaware of this logo's existence and can assure you my design was conceived and developed based entirely on your brief and independently of any other design. That said, I cannot ignore the fact it has some conceptual similarities, and it is important that you and your team are aware of it before making any decision.
I would, of course, totally understand if you felt you needed to change direction. If so (and given how deep we are into your contest) I would recommend you contact logotournament support for this contest to be returned to the 'open' phase in order to encourage new submissions from across the community.

Hey Steve, thank you for alerting me to this logo's existience, after doing some looking Escape Studios no longer uses that logo. While I cant deny similarities (But not to much) you did exactly what I had in the brief and ran with it. We decided 2-3 days ago this was the logo we were going with and that we just had to work out the kinks (color, font, text, etc). After looking it over and thinking on it. I still feel this is the one. I reversed image searched the Cube and it came up with nothing, I did it for every color combination, down to only black. This is an orginal logo, and even if you had drawn inspiration from the logo that was sent to you, I would say you surpassed it. In otherwords we keep moving forward. Ive got a few tagline ideas but nothing that sticks just yet, Ill let you know by today or tomorrow, enjoy your time with the family!

So after much thinking, I think we are selecting the Purple and green placed in 1st place. Thank you so much for everything you have done for us! It truly has been a pleasure working with you. The only question I have is, once we select it, is the design its self ours? So should we change colors for the seasons or for print it is still our logo?

Once you approve the uploaded files, the full rights to the design transfer entirely to you. One of the files I will send will be in vector format and you can use this to edit, not only the colours and fonts, but any aspect of the design you wish.
During the handover, I will upload the files for the colour you selected in first place. Once you are happy with everything, we can exchange private email details and, if it helps, I will happily provide you with a selection of alternative colour schemes. If you're not sure what schemes you might want at this stage, no problem... just let me know as and when and I will provide them at some point in the future. It's a simple process and absolutely no trouble at all.
