Top Three Things to Communicate

#1 - Erin Meeks is a unique, upscale brand
#2 - exactly what Erin Meeks is (ie. Handcrafted Jewelry)
#3 - that they should expect artistry

Our Target Audience:

My target audience will be buyers for upscale stores and boutiques who cater to middle to upper income females.

Color Preferences

I'm completely open in this category, with the exception of:
No red please!

Our Ideas and Additional Information:

I want a logo that conveys sophistication with an upscale feel, as well as artistic. I would like to have something identifiable, so that if someone sees my logo, they know it represents me. If possible, I'd like a symbol or design that could be incorporated into my jewelry (such as the famous Chanel logo, etc.) I am completely open with the colors, though I would like something that portrays what I've expressed here. I think I'd like a 2-color logo with a black/white option. Lastly, don't count out the artistic feel- this is very important!

Thanks to all of you who have submitted entries...this is so exciting! You are all very creative! I will try to leave feedback as much as I can...

#16- Designlab, I love your creative use of the e and m. My only comment is that I typically go for non-geometrical shapes. I don't know if this would work with a "curvier" look, but I do like this alot!

#1- I like the lettering style and the reflection, although I'm not sure how this translates into marketing and promo materials, etc. Any thoughts?

#2- You have a very creative approach to the em also! I think it's a little more "cutting edge" than my jewelry...maybe some softer lines. I do like your idea though. Also, I do want it to say "handcrafted jewelry."

#17- I do like your color choice. I like the overall look of it. The scroll is nice- my only criticism of the scroll is that it may be a little generic. Is there a way to make it original?

#8- I like the bold letters. I need it to say "handcrafted jewelry"!

#7- Not crazy about the light purple. I don't think this one says what I want it to... :)

#19- I do like your lettering, and the stylized M is nice. I think this may be a little too whimsical with the curly letters. Can you take that away and see what you get?!

#5- too abstract!
#10- not sure what to make of this one! I think maybe it's a little too abstract also, but creative.
#11- I like your use of color, but I don't think it's right for this. I'm looking for something that will translate into marketing well and allow me to not have to spend too much on many different colors.
#13- too new-age, technological looking for my jewelry
#14- this looks a little cowboyish to me???? :)
#18- I like your use of the em. I like the idea. It needs to say "handcrafted" though, not custom crafted.

Thanks again!!!

#25- I do like the overall look of this, though I'm not crazy about the color. I'd like to see it on a white background...what about deep purple/aubergine and dark gray?

#20- not crazy about the scrolls going up to the right

#21- I like this, but I don't think it conveys the upscale feel that I'm going for.

#22- I think this style is too whimsical.

Thank you again!!!!

Hey everybody- I will post more detailed comments this evening, but I just want to say thank you again. You are all so creative. This is very exciting!

Can I see some variations with a white background and a 2-color logo (other than black)?! I'm kind of partial to a deep (aubergine) purple and dark gray, but I'm no designer (other than jewelry, of course). So, please feel free to come up with some various color schemes.

I really appreciate your work on my logo, and I promise to give more detailed feedback later today!!
