Encinitas 101 Turkey TrotLogo Design Contest

My entries have the turkey running forwards, big smile, holding a knife & a fork to reflect the benefit aspect, along the beach. I tried actually adding the Encinitas sign, but wasn't 100% happy with how it was working with the turkey / beach.

Entry#10,

1. "Turkey Trot" lettering on bottom less cartoonish and similar to Encinitas sign. Frame the bottom of the logo to match. Get rid of Sun in logo.

Here are some revisions with a couple added features. I wasn't sure how you'd feel about the slight warping on the Encinitas sign, but it felt a little TOO rigid for the rest of the image (it is a turkey in running shoes, after all :) ) I also felt like the "101" part was getting lost - so I thought a good way to add that was to also use the sign for that - that way people also understand that it's not a beach run. I adjusted the sky color to bring a little contrast between it and the ocean by adding some subtle sunrise-y hues - but it's just as easy to remove it if you don't like it.
