Hi,
Thanks for your entries. I like #11 better that #10.

In #11, I like the treatment of the upper and lower lines. However, I think its too "strong". Can you open it up a bit, or use thinner strokes?

In #10, giving special treatment to the "X" character is a great idea, but check mark symbol just doesn't do it for me - sorry.

Thank you for your revisions and new submissions. Many of them I like.

In #63, the 'X' has hints of a Maltese Cross, which is often used in the US as the basis of a firefighting emblem. This is a good thing. Can you explore that concept? That is to make the 'X' more like a Maltese Cross used in firefighting logos.

Regarding #70 and #71. Wow, that was fast!
Hmm, I not sure this will work. In the firefighting emblems, the outside edge of the points are convex instead of concave -- kind of like a sine wave.

Your on the right track. :-) But I think the cross needs to be more subtle, so that the 'X' is the predominate component. The cross design should just contain hints of the fire department emblem.
