Hi Ibot,

I absolutely LOVE what you've done with our pirate. He looks great!!

I'm concerned about the text, though. As it is right now, there are two issues. The first is that the text can't really stand on its own. The second is that we need "Alumni" to be a bit more prominent (though we do like the implementation of "Alumni" in #95 more than the other two--which look too collegiate).

Could you show us another couple of font options?

Also, will you be able to provide a few variations, so that we could use just the pirate as an icon, or just the text, depending on the circumstance and our need?

Thanks!

One other thought... Although we like the current background behind the pirate, we also really like the idea of the compass rose behind/around him... we've asked several other designers to put a compass behind him, so I would love to see your version of that, too!

Thanks,
Andrew

Hi Ibot,

Thanks for the new versions. We like #108, but the pirate seems to be much smaller and less prominent than in #95 (still currently my first choice from all the options)... It would be better if the compass rose were a bit less strong, and the pirate were larger. The font is simple, and is ok, but not amazing. Is there a way to tie it in more with the icon--though it does not need to be connected, it feels a bit too separate. (Maybe the bottom compass point should go away, allowing you to move the text up more?).

Also, what if you took #95 and used the font from #108 (for at least part of it?). Would that work?

Thanks,
Andrew
