About the Elton Vineyard and Winery: East facing slope in the Eola-Amity Hills in the Willamette Valley of Oregon, has fantastic morning light and is very windy from the corridor to the coast, nearly 200 acres planted, recognized as one of the top vineyard sites in Oregon. Planted in 1983 by Dick and Betty O'Brien, the couple worked in education, but never had children. When they were looking to slow down, they selected Willamette Valley Vineyards as the vineyards succession plan and upon their retirement, a check will be written all to vineyard and winery education in Oregon. In their retirement the O'Brien's planted an immaculate garden featuring many art pieces that could provide inspiration to the logo (favorites attached). They are huge art collectors featuring whimsical pieces. Vineyard is named after Betty's father Elton Ingram who farmed the land since the 1950s. The vineyard is farmed certified sustainable. The Winemaker is Isabelle Meunier, who is the highest scoring winemaker in Oregon with 98 and 97 point scores from Wine Spectator. Isabelle is French Canadian and Burgundy trained. Her winemaking style is commitment to producing the highest expression and purest voice of the site. The future winery is French country reminiscent with light pink/peaches with restoration style greens (similar to Provence).
Logo Style:
Old world, homage to Burgundy, represent Isabelle's style
Organic, not too structured.
Scripts & delicate fonts, but legible (not blocky)
Small illustration over the words like a feminine figure similar to the sculpture in the O'Brien's garden (Mother Nature, wrapped in wind)
Amble white space for high end look
No negative space
