We like this, as it's a nice abstract tree. Now we need to get the colors right, and the font (maybe two colors for Elm and Partners) and also the little triangle at the bottom of the tree bigger, slightly bigger. Not sure we like the triangle in the bottom right corner of figure. This logo has promise, but not quite there yet.
Can you see the other submissions, or only your own? thank you .Victor
Better. Can we see what it would look like reflected through the y-axis, with the slanting going from bottom left to top right? What is your thought about the triangle in the right bottom of the tree?
I actually use the letter E as the basic concept, so the elements in the right corner instead of the triangle, but more of the letter E that I disguised and formalized of tree to represent the investment, thanks
can you show us the following, focussing on 105@ 1) flip the design from left to right, so the open spaces are pointing from bottom left to top right, which is the general direction people think of as growth. 2) let's get rid of the bottom triangle. 3) can we see two versions: one with all the bars joined up at one end or the other, so it's like a big reverse "S" shape, and then one where the three bar are not connected at all?
not so important to show the "e". More important that it's kind of showing a tree, growth, stability, and the simplicity of three solid components. In some ways what we're offering has 4 components, but not sure how the figure would look with four pieces instead of 3? maybe worth taking a quick look at too. the four components of our approach are: low cost, diversification, value and momentum.
Hi. Really liking 143. Can you please try out something for us. Can you please add a thin dark line to the bottom of the figure at the bottom of the bars, not in the tiny open space at the bottom between the two rightmost bars. Just a think line in the dark color you're using for "Elm". The thin line can be slightly separated or touching the green bottoms. The idea is maybe to get the idea that we are charging just a tiny amount of fees at the bottom, a very thin line or border down there.
thanks. looking good. will come back with more comments later today.
thank you. I like 189, the best of the ones you just put up, but leaving the space between the think dark line and the green bars makes it look a bit complicated. can you have the dark lines be attached at the bottom of the green bars, and just a bit thicker so we can definitely see it. it's just a bit too thin now. thank you. Victor
Hello can we get 140 reflected right to left, ie flipped along the y-axis as you did for the others, please.
also, can you give us one version of the reflected 140 with dark lines along the bottom of the green bars, but a little thicker than anything you've done so far, as so far those dark lines are all too thin.
Hi Bayu we would now like to turn our attention to the font and colors of the overall logo. Can you show us some options. We don't want to influence your artistic urges, so please just show us some other options that you like. the only thing we would ask you to include in these options is showing us "The Home of Active Index Investing" in upper and lower case, rather than all upper case. thank you. best. Victor
p.s. just to be clear, we've settled on 219 as the basic one to keep trying to work on with some different colors, shades, and fonts. thank you. best. Victor
Hi Bayu. Hope you get a chance to give us a few more options with 215 in terms of minor tweeks for color shades and font. Here are a couple of more specific ideas we'd like to see for 215 please: 1) can we try nudging up the "tree" so that the bottom of it aligns with bottom of "The home etc". It might look crisper. 2) let's try making "Partners" as dark a green as the tree figure (and maybe let's look at making both the tree and partners a bit darker too). This might be punchier especially when documents are reproduced in black/white via xerox or fax. 3) also, as we requested in my previous message, can you put the "home of active index investing" in small cap, or cap and small cap? we're not so hot on it all in caps.

ps- Hi Bayu. I wrote that last message to you without seeing that you already have started getting us more options. thank you! please do keep them coming, and if you could still try the 3 points in my last message, that would be great! best Victor
Hi Bayu. thanks for these. Let's try the following: 1) the green color from 315 (the the 2nd to darkest shades so far), 2) the font from 219, 3) the subtitle still lower case, but with the final “g” upper case, but smaller so it doesn’t fall below the line 4) finally, let's see what it looks like if the bottom of the tree figure lines up with the bottom of our subtitle
Hi Bayu. Any other ideas about what to do with out subtext? going lower case we have this problem with the final "g" going below the line, and the capital "G" looks a bit strange. do you have other ideas how to deal with this? we don't like the all cap font you had for it to begin with- it looks a bit too much like we're boasting or shouting out "THE HOME OF ACTIVE INDEX INVESTING".
in any case, if you could do the other change to get rid of the dark line at the bottom of the figure, as you're continuing to think about the font for the subtitle, that would be great:
not bad. very creative. let me get my guys to look at this 428, which I'll put to the top of our ranks. good one. will be in touch again soon I hope. best Victor
Hi Bayu. can we look at some other colors for the word "Elm".. please use your judgement and taste, but maybe among other things let's look at dark grey too.
ok, we need to do something else with the subtext. so, it's ok to use a normal lower case "g" that goes below the line. Maybe to make it look a little nicer, you could use one of these fonts that you think is good, where all of these fonts drop a small amount below the line: http://www.fontscape.com/explore?NCX
for the subtext let's go all lower case, and not worry too much about that final "g". let's use a normal lower case "g" but if you can find one that doesn't drop a huge amount, let's try that. use your taste and judgement please.
hi Bayu. did you see my last comment from earlier today? We like working off the colors and everything else of 428 but we need to get the subtitle right. all lower case and a good font, "g" to go below the line.
dear Bayu, ok, we like 440 but we want the subtext to use the font of 316, including the final "g" which will go below the line. we think it will look better to have it finish with the final normal lower case "g".
so, let's do the subtext all in lower case, using the font for the subtext that you use in 316, but with the colors and everything else of 440. Hopefully this will be close to the end. thank you. please let me know when it's ready. best victor
thank you Bayu. Sorry, didn't realize I had to do that last step, which I just did now. Please confirm that you've received your well earned prize money.
