Here is what is happening in my confused brain-- my husband and his Zen ideas, which I like but now realize don't apply here, and trying to balance the contest ethics with what I like.
Williams Sonoma uses a classy pot as its logo, even though they now are into a wide range of products and services. My start is pet hens and tasteful hen coops that look good in a backyard. Coops can be funtional, yet add to a yard, not look like a chicken coop traditionally does.
Eggs are a huge reason to have chickens, so having an egg in the picture is important.
--A simple hen, classy hen. I'm drawn to #104 because it is so crisp and the current hen isn't.
--With my upside down egg comment, I was referencing #47. Take the whimsy from #47 to lighten the edginess of #153. Maybe making the hen less serious will do just that. I also think the roofline needs to hang over the bldg more and not be such a thick strip of blue (which others tell me is actually grey), because the current design is more modern than I like. Going back to the Williams-Sonoma pot, it is an old pot, but it is very crisp. I also very much love Talbots and their traditional crisp red door. Oh. I just looked and they've dumped that logo-- oh well.
-- I like a steeper roofline, even though my coops don't have one. I am forced to have the shallower roofline to accommodate my dimensions. Wider white stripe of trim board and a thinner roof might do that.
-- Lose the tagline as part of the logo.
Hens will be up soon. I'm going to let them out and go back to bed. THanks, Scott.
#185 is very nice, but can look a bit like a bird house. What if you turn the egg on its side? Then it will unmistakably be an egg.
#187 I realize what I am missing is what #185 has-- red at the bottom. So put the chick back in and a trifle red under her like in #142 but keep the bigger hen. She looks cozy in there.
Also, for laughs, can you throw on some red feet? THAT is what is so fun about your #47. I wonder even, if they'd work hanging down outside of the coop (could imply that the coop is too small, though and mine are small). Or like bears sit, (and hens never do) with her legs sticking out in front of her.
Oh. Well I like the color that my screen has, which is blue-grey. I'll have to track down someone with a graphics card to see what it really looks like.
I'm on a thinkpad matte screen, business version, I think, as it's from my consulting days. So high quality graphics aren't or haven't been a priority.
Now that it is darker, I see that it is grey. I like the farmette being darker but I like the blue-grey of the roof.
Can you find an actual blue-grey and put that on so I can see? Since my screen isn't accurate, how do I describe the color for you?
I'm not a fan of flat grey, as it reminds me of those horrid uniforms the TJ Maxx people have to wear. (You are from Canada, so this may not mean anything to you.)
Just change the hen/chick one.
Why do you like the simple font better than the one with the tweaked Ls?
Hi, Scott. Funny about that moose; thanks for sending it.
I got lots done today on the coop, but have visited the designs many times. I need to work on the color choices, but, as I mentioned, find a monitor that works well. Or will I be able to tweak colors and fonts with the file you give me?
I'm going to move the line drawing gal into 1st for tomorrow and then make up my mind over the weekend. I've got to get moving onto other projects.
Have a fine Friday, and thank you for your continued support and kindness.
Regarding fonts, due to licensing I cannot give you the actual font, which is fonts are converted to outline. But The fonts I've been using are included in most vector programs such as CorelDraw or Illustrator. I'll give oyu the name of th3 course.
Yes, you will be able to edit color when ever you wish, as the elements are separate objects.
