The idea of the bite out of the ruler is really cute, but visually I think it just comes across a little awkwardly. I'm also not sure I want to have a play on "rule" and "ruler" - it may connote too much about weight loss, whereas I'm more focused on overall health (weight loss is a part of that, of course).
If the ruler were integrated with the words, instead of just above them, it might work better for me? Not sure...
I think this is headed in the wrong direction - the tape measure (instead of a ruler) makes it even more about weight loss.. I'm also more interested in a wordmark than an icon next to the text.
After seeing all these variations on my current logo, I'm starting to think it might be better to explore a completely new logo. I'd love to see what other creative ideas you might have with a totally fresh start. :)
I'm not quite sure what the circle in #68 is supposed to represent. A plate? A mug? I think the circles don't really get us much.
I think the bread board in #67 looks good - though I'm not quite sure the bread board is quite right. Let me sleep on that one.
I like the bowl of soup in #70 - I think it's fun and appropriate. I think it needs a different font for "rules" that would work better with the soup bowl.
For both #67 and #70 I think they'd be better without the leaves on the "g" -- it's a separate idea that's not as interesting as the main idea (soup bowl or bread board), and it kind of competes.
I think we should drop the gray lines with your other ideas -- it's a conflicting idea and it means too much is going on.
I like the bread board visually -- a lot -- but I'm not sure it sends the right message. It could be viewed as a paddle (used for, ummm, spanking) and that implies punishment if you don't follow the rules. For that reason, I hate to say it but I think we need to drop that idea. :(
The soup bowl in #76 and #79 is getting more interesting to me. If we're going to use it, let's get rid of the horizontal lines. Then I think the "rules" needs to match aesthetically better with the "eating" -- maybe that's just a font choice, maybe it also needs to have a food element associated with it, not sure.
Why did you cut off the bottom of the "g"? That doesn't really buy us anything, I don't think.
The "Rules" font in #99 doesn't work with the font in "Eating" for me. I think if we're going to have the soup bowl in the "e", then the "rules" needs to stylistically work with it.. maybe it could even be the same font as "eating" but in a different color? (Red?)
