Color Preferences
Open to a range of color exploration.
Drawn to the idea of presenting colors that might communicate royal/wisdom/imagination - knowledge/ trustworthy/authority - sophisticated/perfection/purity.

OK with both simple monochrome abstractions or colorful but sophisticated style
Our Ideas & Additional Information
I very much like the use of creative white space, as signified by the examples I have uploaded. When you have to look at it for a few seconds to "get it". I have included some samples of logos I don't like as well. We don't want something to cutesy, flowery, unimaginative or busy

I prefer the business name to be stacked somehow so it's not just straight across (takes up too much space that way). Keep in mind we need to post our logo in places like Facebook (180px x 180 px). So far, i'm seeing some creative use of the letter "e" but I'm not necessarily seeing a logo that I would expect to see on an event planning website. Some of these look a little too "corporate" so far.

I uploaded more complete files of what other logos I like and don't like. These new files replace the old ones.

A number of my competitors have checkmarks in their logos so I think we should probably stay away from those. Thanks.

I appreciate the creative use of white space in many of these designs. I number of them look a bit too "corporate" though. It's still a site about fun, creative event planning (weddings, parties, etc).

Here are some competitor logos I like. Still looking for more fun/creative/warm designs. http://www.punchbowl.com/, http://www.smilebox.com/ (i like the font; uncreative otherwise), http://www.evite.com/.

I like #19 best so far because it incorporates the "e" and "p" creatively, uses lowercase lettering for (most of) the name and the e looks like it's smiling. it feels warm, soft, creative.

I uploaded a rough sketch a colleague sent me depicting two adults with thei heads down forming letter e's and a child forming a p. Showing the adults like this could signify a sense of community in coming together for events. I'm not sure how you would incorporate the "p" or if it's absolutely necessary but if anyone is still trying to generate a fresh idea, this could guide you.

94 and 87 look celebratory to me, so they nicely depict event planning.

Thank you all for your submissions. In this final round now we're looking for you to play with typography that is more modern/sophisticated/royal/contemporary. Feel free to private message me if you have questions. Thank you.
