Thank you for the first round of entries - Some notes to all designers

I don't like the E and the 3 touching - It makes it look like a B or a Box
I find myself leaning to more of a script (cursive or handwriting) fonts

I find myself leaning toward the lower case e and the cubed symbol.

I would like to see some more entries with a lower case "e" and a more elegant fonts. I don't want a standard font used necessarily but if you look at the Harrington font it will give you a starting point. In particularly I like the the way the lower case "e" is oriented.

Thank you everyone for keying in to the fact that I want a more elegant font. Please don't think I only want to see the harrington font however. I do like the e from it but I was just using it as an example. I am off to bed after I rank the few that are waiting for me and look forward to seeing the possibilities in the morning.

I have submitted the following email to logo tournament based on a note I received that there is a designer dispute.

I asked all the designers yesterday to play with the "E" cubed for my logo 1:26pm but one of the designers is claiming it was his idea and they are not allowed. Several of my favorite designs have been withdrawn and I can not figure out how I address this. When reading the notes on how to operate the contest it said that things that were obvious (use of cats and dogs for a vet hospital) where public rights. The most common way to write E3 is with the cubed symbol and as such should be public.

I would appreciate the designer with drawing his dispute as it is putting my contest in jeopardy. Thank you!

If the designs you withdrew included the e cubed symbol please resubmit. I have corresponded with the designer who was doing a concept check and we are all good. Thank you!

Catching up on what happening on the main page.

When we submit concepts they are copyrighted to each designer. for example the cube e3 if the design was submitted before you made the request then technically it is protected (the cubed 3 design ONLY) That being said if you posted publicly before the upload then it is available to all.

Now there is a twist, if you make a request of a designer on his/her private page then that suggestion belongs to that designer. You should not be asking other designers in private the same thing this will lead to many disputes.

If you have any question please ask one of use will respond.

Hi All,

You'll note that if you do an image search for 'e3' logos you will find the concept e cubed (superscript 3) is very common and will be considered obvious.

However, you will need to be strict with your designs so that they do not encroach on each other.

I don't know if this is helpful information for you in the design process but this is part of the questionnaire I had to answer when working on my branding.

• What 3 primary emotions would you choose to describe your entire brand? Confident (in what we do and that we CAN help) Engaged (We want to know our clients goal (personal and professional) so we can encourage them along the way and celebrate with them when it happens) & Energized We love what we do and even more we love helping others to love what they do. (after the fear and stress has sapped all the joy from their world)
• What 3 primary emotions do you want your readers to feel when they read your copy? Hopeful ( They are no longer alone in the wilderness) Inspired (to take the next step on the journey to freedom. To put the systems in place to effectively manage their business, internally (them) and/or externally (us) Brave Being a small business owner is SCARY and it’s even scarier to trust someone with your most intimate dreams (and the nuts and bolts of how you want to get there)

Thank you everyone for all your entries so far. I really appreciate all your efforts on my behalf. Anyone want to try playing around with the gear idea some more?
