I think what you will find in apparel is that the letter styling of your shirts will likely change from shirt to shirt, season to season... What would be nice to have is a mark (such as this DJ symbol) that you can keep as a constant to help build the brand. one that works in one color and could also be a nice tag. One company that does this well is lululemon. They always have their little symbol (sometimes even a very subtle black on black look) on everything...
