I love it!!! Can you play around with the colours? I love the purple background but can you change the wings and the word yoga to red or blue to see how that looks???
hahaha. I honestly don't know much about yoga poses, and I know I should do yoga, I really need it! But I promise I will learnd and come back with other poses and colors. The "joke" here was that one pair of wings were acting like the crossed legs :)
Sorry, cannot stop laughing at the new poses. But you know, a dragonfly doing yoga is already funny, so more if it is doing a tree pose!.
When I googled YOGA TREE POSE I found different ways to do the tree. One was with the hands above the head, one was with the hands in front the chest and the other one was the one I used. The first one, with hands above the head made it too busy because of the antennas. I could try hands in front of the chest but I like the blank middle space. So I used arms open in parallel to the top wings. And again, it looks funny to me. haha
Thanks Joanna, I really like these too. I think we can totally dismiss the RED one, no contrast and color-blind people won't see any wings, only a white shape in the middle of 2 purple shapes, they will see an ANT doing yoga.
I am, like you, between blue and green. If we think as COLOR WHEEL choices we have that this purple (I used #8A2576) has the green and the blue as TRIAD colors, so we're on the right way. Problem is BOTH are part of this triad in the same proportion. Non of them acts as an accent. Then we can digg into YOGA preferred colors and I find that Feng Shui preferred colors are Blue (The most calming color. Light blues are normally used for relaxation and relieving stress) and Green (powerful energies of nature, growth and balance). Again, both colors seem to be ok here..
I think this will be a hard choice about what color you simply LIKE best :)
I'm still not so sure about the fonts... I like the fonts where the 'y' and 'g' are hanging down and I like lower case letters but i'm still not sure... I like the letter 'a' to be a normal 'a' circle and a stick along side it like a kid would write it.
here I am back with some new font choices. I don't like to flood the contest with 400 versions of the same logo with different fonts because other designers will hate me (I usually hate that too when it happens, hahah). So please tell me wich ones you don't like so I can withdraw to keep the contest page as clean as possible. You must be sleeping by now, I know, but if you can send me a message as soon as possible so I can delete some entries I will appreciate it :)
ok. Font versions are: #63, #64, #65, #66, #67, #68, #69 and #70, Face version: #72 (didn't add too much detail to the face. Just somethin funny and cute because we don't need a visual competition with the rest, I think the focus should be the wings and body in a yoga pose).
Can you try a few masculine colours. My friend said that the logo was quite girly and i wondered if you could chose a few darker colour combinations so I could see what that might look like...
I used dark blue and dark purple. For the purple I lowered the levels of Magenta so it doesn't tend to go to the pink/magenta side. I also made the wings a little smaller because te bigger wings were also helping it look too girly.
Will girls be mad to see straight antennas? no Will boys be mad to see curly antennas? maybe yes, because it looks too girly.
The curly antennas look girly. The straight antennas DOESN'T look boyinsh. I think the straight ones look for both genders. Now, if you only have GIRLS doing yoga.. of course you will choose the curly one. I think the straight one is generic enough but still cute. I didn't draw perect straight ones :)
