Doug RobbLogo Design Contest

I'm a rock acoustic singer/songwriter. The logo I want to create is a representation of me who is fun, edgy, rock n roll, with a heart. My music speaks to all kinds of messages including hard truths, life lessons, self reflecting, honesty, accountability, with a positive message. I want my logo to also represent my hard rock edge - I have tattoos and a very powerful high octave rangeless voice.

The audience is all ages and genders from 16-70 but mostly 40+.

Black, Grey and Red

I originally had a logo made up that had a variation of a celtic cross (that has a medal edge), with a guitar pic on top of and writing around it, and then my name across the top. The creator of that won't release the vector files on it, so now I am re-branding. I would be ok to have something similar - OR - I am VERY open to something entirely different. I like things that look rustic (but don't want it to look country), it needs to have a rock edge to it. I am open to the colours being gold or yellow too (or orange), I am just worried it will look too country. I will upload the old logo for reference. I don't like the top of the cross being so high because using the logo to print on shirts made it not fit well on the shirt. Also, my name has to really stick out as that is the main thing about me since I am a solo rock acoustic singer/songwriter.

I'm not a fan of a big guitar being in the logo - but I did like the shape of a pick with the colorations of guitar.

Since we will be using the logos on clothing, it can't have a lot of colours (to keep costs down for printing)

On my social media, I just use a hand written (my actual hand writing) of my name DOUG and in smaller is my last name of ROBB. So many people get my name wrong and call me ROBB, so that's why made the DOUG bigger. Reason I am telling you this is we may want to have just a simpler version of the logo (like the handwriting of my name) for things to print on hats and perhaps on social media graphics. But really open to ideas. I am a bit confused as to what will all work.
