What We Do
We are a holding company with 3 divisions: eGovernment (IT Services for the public sector) , Import/Export and Events Management.
Industry
Miscellaneous
Color Preferences
The logo must be in black and white (no shades/grey scale)
But the 3 divisions need one colored element to create a unique element to that division. e.g a thin line of a different color.
Our Ideas & Additional Information
We would like to have as a logo 2 lower case "i" and the full name Double-i. See an example at www.double-i.co.za.
The logo must be usable in full but also recognizable only with the 2 "i" Letterform Mark (see example at www.double-i.co.za)
The main company logo will say "Double-i holdings". The 3 divisions instead of holdings will have their business line:
1) eGov OR eGovernment
2) import OR import-export
3) events OR events management

Hi everyone,
I think dazzle is right. The three divisions I mentioned in the brief, they do belong to one "holding company" and now that you make me think about it, I don't mind the word "Holdings" under the main logo.
Then the 3 divisions will have eGOV (or eGovernment), import (or import-export) and Events (or Events Management) instead of the word "Holdings".
Does it make sense.
I updated www.double-i.co.za
Have a look.
Thanks everybody,
Steph

If I had the logo in my mind I wouldn't be here, would I?
I know what I need for my business and this brainstorming serves the purpose of getting YOUR design close to MY business needs.
Clear now Orion?

@ alternatived you are feeling me.
What I need you to focus on is lettering of the "ii". If you look at the Chanel logo the lettering is strong elegant but feminine. Then you look at the Louis Vuitton logo it is also strong and elegant but the lettering is all masculine. I need feminine without being soft, think Chanel.

The "II" needs to strong enough to stand alone and be ID'ed, so the use of the circle is welcomed.

With all due respect, I understand what you mean, but you skept #119 (ok, arguable, but it's your choice) then, you kept #101 which I submitted just for fun, I mean, it looks like a swimming team. I can see it stithced on a gown :) LOL
OK, on top of that you ranked #129 as 5th when it has no dots. It's a nice design, no doubt, but you said you want 2 round dots. Is that still on?
Thanks, ciao

@ All Designers another hint for lettering if it will help at all. The one "i" stands for India and the other For Italy. Maybe try those type fonts? Oh and yes use the dots or it will look like the no.1 and not the letter i thanks for the kind reminder Sim1.

@ All Designers: try also lower-case "d" (double-i) to give more emphasis to the "i" rather than the "D"
Thanks

Everyone. I just highlight what I shared answering to some of you:
"I need something for big corporates and government.
It must be between "regal" and "minimal".
#152 is too complex but regal,
#211 is brilliant, modern but not classic enough.

Maybe I'm asking too much. I don't know.
I believe the right idea has still to come."

Thanks,

Steph
