What We Do

Double Dutch Cannabis is a legal cannabis startup dispensary based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. We are inspired by the Netherlands as a driver of cannabis culture and love the potential distinct cultural imagery we can incorporate in our brand and business. From the windmills to the colourful tulips (which can draw parallels to a terpene wheel, which are components of all plants including cannabis) we think this can be a basis to our feel. Our dispensary is under construction and our logo will need to communicate our name and be used in a custom sign above our store windows. Our target market will be cannabis users who want a friendly feeling brand that’s fresh. We don’t want to be the generic Apple store feel of some competitors. Please refer to the Alberta cannabis guidelines for clarification on prohibited logos; https://aglc.ca/cannabis/cannabis-legislation-and-policies/cannabis-handbooks/retail-cannabis-store-handbook/rcsh-store-name-signs

Color Preferences

https://kindtyme.com/color-scheme-cannabis-brand/
Could use black or another colour for the words and a colour in the logo. Possibly tetrad of colours for the logo. Minimal and not a scene or too much imagery please.
Not interested in a green logo as it’s overdone in the cannabis dispensary space.

Our Ideas and Additional Information:

Tulips
Colour wheel
Dutch themes
Not to be confused with a flower show ( the full name should alleviate that concern)

Interior mock-up floorplan included. Also some cool greenhouse showcase cabinets we are having made and another dispensary with flooring and a feel we like.
