Here are some of my proposals. I've used simple and custom typography, using fonts that have beautiful characters to them, making them unique, to stand out from the crowd, whilst still having an elegance and presence. Please do click on the file to view it as large as you can :)
The logo is 100% vector so will scale well to any size, and works well in full colour, B&W and on coloured backgrounds if needed,
It would be my pleasure to work up any variations so please do say. I look forward to your comments or thoughts.
I like your take on the icon at this point the best - so thank you for joining the contest... I'd like to see this icon a little more stylised and edgier. And I am extremely grateful that you have clearly read my brief in this regard... and have made an attempt to represent this in that form. There are elements of entry #16 which I like very much, and others which are not working for me at this point... Can we somehow make that drop pin stronger and maybe a little less busy (with the 'nails' at least) - perhaps with no nails at all just the zig zagging / intersecting lines without an out line? It could possibly give a real abstract arty look?
I would also like to see NEXA bold or light used as the primary typeface (for the do see go) in lowercase and/or upper case (one or the other or lets see it both ways?).
I would like to see the grey substantially darker and more powerful - its close but not quite there yet.
The "see" in that green (on #16) is working (perhaps the green can also be pushed and experimented with also with some more yellow/mustard tones).
I think the letter characters in do should touch and slightly join, the same with both see and go. With a very small space between each of the 3 words. isolating each word slightly. perhaps the two "ee" in see could be slightly tilted up wards? To emphasis this a little better.
Finally I prefer at this point the alignment of the tag line underneath the do see go and lining up with the "d" and finishing just before the "go".
I hope this helps with some proposed revisions. great work so far.
These are looking almost exactly as I envisaged, in my head. Im super excited!!! Thank you!
Today I spent some time playing around with them on my computer. Following the successful contest I also need to look at a design resource to produce: business cards, email signature, letter head, envelope design, and electronic invoice (in "Pages" for Mac), T-shirt designs, and a couple of vehicle signage design mock ups etc.
I am new to Logo Tournament so not sure how that process could/would work. I have used www.elance.com many times, is this similar?
Could we please look at only a few very minor variations and I think post these changes we will most likely have a winner?
So;
#57, can I please see the drop pin vertical (as in #58) and lastly the "ee" flat and not tilted? The same with #59.
In addition to the above, I'd like to see the drop pin vertically in each sample and the "ee" tilted as in #60.
The reverse of each with a white background, grey drop pin etc etc :)
And just the drop pin by itself as a "logo" - no text etc.
Perhaps play with the "(line)" as per my samples. I like this conceptually as it references the whole "connecting good times" in an abstract sense. This could also flow well into the business cards etc.
Finally, I have attached the samples on what I was playing around with myself as mentioned earlier.
Can u please quote on the above business cards etc?
My particulars for the email signature and cards etc are:
Ben Cook Founder & CEO ben@doseego.com 0405 414 105
555 George Street, Sydney 2000 (The jury is out on wether to include our physical street address.)
Thanks, I will now post my samples on the home page. Cheers, Ben
Thanks again for the feedback, and not a problem re the changes, would be my pleasure!
Just want to mention one thing - and that's, we as designers aren't allowed to communicate directly with buyers until the project is ended. If I'm the lucky chosen one, I'll happily drop you a mail to discuss those things, however I can't until that stage I'm afraid. Hope you understand as these are the rules here at logotournament.
And here are those changes :)
So we have versions of #57: #72, #73 and #74 - straight "e's" #75, #76 and #77 - angled "e's"
So we have versions of #59: #78, #79 and #80 - straight "e's" #81, #82 and #83 - angled "e's"
Thanks for those amendments! My apologies for attempting to communicate directly with you. I was not aware that this was outside of Logo Tournament's conditions - I take full responsibility for this and it wont happen again! My apologies again!
Well I love what you have put forward... The conclusions I have made are as follows:
- #72 is the direction I would like to continue heading in. - I do think that the drop pin needs to be on an angle and without a shadow. - Can you please incorporate the (green line with the two smaller lines (almost rectangular dots), as I have in the sample just posted. As I would like to bring this component into other elements of my business. - Can we see the tag line above the "doseego" starting at the end of the "d" (do) and finishing at the end of the second "e" (in see).
Finally my wife would like to see a final version of the drop pin with a variety of coloured lines: Purple, pink, aqua, orange, lime, yellow, royal blue, light blue, (sorry to be annoying... she just doesn't think my palette is "fun enough").
Thanks for the additional feedback, and no worries at all.
Here are a couple of revised options I managed to do before I have to leave for this wedding I'm going to. I'll be back tomorrow, so can carry on then for you.
Have a great rest of your day and speak to you soon :)
Busy weekend for you by the sounds of things. So happy birthday (for yesterday, and enjoy the wedding today)!
I am so glad you initially joined this particular contest. I am extremely satisfied with the concept and works delivered thus far. So a sincere thank you!
Please note I am no longer entertaining any other submissions as in my opinion you have covered my brief to a tea! Yay!!!
We would like to finally see the following then lets wrap this up and move on to the other jobs I'm needing done.
So please; - swap the position of the tag line and the other 'line' (I think this way it leads the line to be used as a loading feature on our website etc... The colour can slowly migrate from left to right as the page etc loads... - make the tag line a tiny bit smaller, finishing at the end of the second "e" in see - add a little more "royal purple" to the drop pin in addition to the existing colours
The thoughts behind the multi coloured pin will allow us to highlight the word "see" and the 'line' under each category of product we offer (eg. music could be the yellowie/green, theatre could be blue, comedy could be orange etc, etc).
With that said I'm confident that once those changes are made we should be done :)
Therefore could u please kindly make those amendments at your earliest convenience, and also include a sample of each using the varying prodominant colour for the "see" and the 'line'.
PS. What are your thoughts on this as a design? Does it work for you as it is for us? I think it's very young, fresh, contemporary, playful and fun!
PPS. Am I an annoying picky client? Or do most make this amount of changes?
Well firstly many thanks, I'm glad I managed to get it right and what you were hoping for, its been a great project :)
No problems at all, and here are those options: #108, #109 and #110.
With regards to the design itself - I like it, I think its fresh, gets the message across and is modern. Its easily brandable in terms of making the icon work for future items.
And no, your not a picky client at all, really not. You need to be 100% happy with what you get, and to do that you need to see options to compare things too.
