Thank you for your designs. I am looking more for a combined logo which incorporate DOMINOWORLD entwined with the dominoes and SOPHISTICATION, FUN AND WITH SOME COLOR. The logo will be used for all media and as the basic design when applied with several languages. For all designers, I am going to drop the slogan (we can add it later) and just concentrate on the DOMINOWORLD design itself.
Your designs are VERY creative. However, I'm more interested in the same format that I see in your portfolio. Clean crisp lines, little or no backgrounds and all which identify the products. The samples you have submitted are very creative, but, I'm not sure that they will reach the target audience. Let's take out the black backgrounds on all of these and see how that looks. I'd rather stick to the same style that you show in your portfolio. Please give that a try and see if we can come up with something different than the current theme you have been submitting. Your designs are excellent, but I'm looking for something that is more typical of your work from your past winning contests. Thanks.
Lets try a compass or a circular design with color with a clean overall design. Bring the feeling of a world (not necessarily a globe) ... but, perhaps stars of the universe etc etc ... but, clean (no funk)
#39 #51 .. try this without the black background. We are trying to let people know that this is a worldwide domino site where players from all over the world can come play against each other. Competition, fun, but it must be conveyed in a sophisticated logo. I don't know how to direct this beyond the logos in your portfolio which attracted me to you talents.

I apologize for removing the logo that you ranked no1 Immo has complained that I have copied his placement of using the “I” as a domino, while I think this is not a very ORIGINAL design solution, and I would have thought it very obvious design route, he now wants to take me to logo court and that means I could be removed from the contest entirely. I REALLY like the way you have used the words and the font paying against each other in all of your designs. No other designer has been this creative. The M connecting to the W. Replacing the '"i" with a domino shape is pretty basic and generic and I do not think that is unique to any designer. I would back you up on that. However, I don't want to see you in court so, we can let that go (no problem) Now, lets see how we can put some new ideas this together with your use of the fonts with some dominoes and a .com in a clean, sohpisticated refined look. Perhaps, lets see if we can put this into a round shape or semi-round or even across a globe (even if its the meridian lines) or a galaxy background ?? just playing ? without the 3D effect on the font or black background. Again, I really like the play use of the font--excellent. How will that font work with farious languages (DOMINO MUNDO or DOMINO MUNDIAL Have fun with your daugheter .... When you get a chance, please see if using a different color for each word (DOMINO) and (WORLD) in the same font layout (joined "M" and "W") would add some interest. Again, I really like the creativity in the fonts for both $38 and #51. Now, lets just play with that in colors to see how that would match. I have an idea where you might put a small domino in the up leg of the W and the down leg of the M. Don't change the size of the font but just put two six dot domino touching on either leg in the same size as the regular font. Subtle. Just a thought. I'm going to send you the same design that I've sent to others to play with. I had this started, but never finished. Please use the same font layout that you created in #51 or #38. This font layout is unique and works well for print and caps etc etc. IT SETS YOUR DESIGNS APART FROM ALL OF THE OTHER SUBMISSIONS and I really appreciate it. Maybe try using the background compas rose (in a less pronounced clean lines and subtle presentation) with North and South points and with the wording #51 or # 38 going across in the middle between the E and W points. We may want to try more colors in the background compass. This would look more serious and refined and sophisticated... especially with the font layout in either #51 or #38. As a subtle effect, the .com could be engraved into the upper arm of the "d" in WORLD (subtle) ....?? Please try a different color for everything .... and possibley just a shadow on the font rather than a 3d effect. Again, clean and elegant and more serious. I don't want to push or direct you too much ... as, your ideas at this point are #1 and I am very appreciative to be able to work with you.
I've an idea. Using the compass rose in the background .. try placing the word DOMINO in an arch above the center across the North compass marker and the word WORLD in an arch below the center over the South compass maker and connecting the legs of the "M" and "W" (like you did in #51) with a domino in the middle. Perhaps look at the sample ideas I sent by email and incorporates a globe in the domino and color the dots a shadowed red and gold? Again, I really like the font designs ... in a clean more serious look ... this might be fantastic.
Another idea is to see how you can incorporate the same clean lined font you used in either #51 or in #38 into the logo design I sent you by email (which incorporates the 3 dominoes with a globe on the middle (either bone and black or black and bone) incorporating the .asia, .com, and .eu ... into this same design using your font layout and designs. As stated before, I own that design, so no problem for anyone in using it.
#65 Can you add some color to this same designs? Perhaps, engrave a .com and .eu or .asia subtlely in the end edge of the dominoes with a "chrome" DOMINOWORLD positioned at a front plane rather than an at an angle.
#66 Please remove the black background behind the font. Perhaps just center the words DominoWorld in front of the gold "world" and put a small domino (sixes) where the two legs join and add some color ... fun, elegant, simple and discriptive.
What happened to the compass rose idea? Lets try a flat frontal use of the font .. with a domino or a world where the two legs of the M and W meet all of this in front of a simple compass rose (gives it a world feel)... (just an idea) ... COLOR will make this stand out. Please try some color.
#74 ... Please add some color to the dominoes (ivory) with red and gold dots with shadow depth) . The chrome is diffucult to read so lets stick to a solid fill color. Perhaps try a small globe in between the leg on the M and W for this logo design. Probably all this design needs is some color, sharpness, and energy. Very good.
# 70 and #71 I like this as well!!! .. clean and simple. However, the words DOMINOWORLD need to be of more contrast. We are losing the fantastic design in the font because it's too soft and not sharp and defined. The color of the domino in the middle between the legs should be ivory/bone or black and white (standard dominoes colors) and add the color to the dots) Maybe all it need is color and contrast and everything will work better??. I love the domino in the middle of the two legs (see my samples below) .. As far as layout, perhaps the wording should move up against the background just a slight bit to make it stand out more. Again ... a tropical color with sharp contrast edge color ... maybe red with gold edge or blue with golden shadow might work?? UP TO YOU>.. I'm wanting to make the name logo really stand out... Your use of the font is well done ... I want to make full use of it and I think clean lines and some color (not background color) would do the trick. Let's give it a try.
On the logo #75 with the compass ...I like it!! Lets make the words larger and bring them around further towards the East and West points ( a more round shape) and move the words away from the compass ring a little bit. (easier to read) Let try to put a globe in the middle of the domino with some color. The globe could touch the 4 dots (2 on each side) in the middle. (At some future date we could introduce a flash element and have the globe rotate) Lets also try to bring some color and shading to the dots (gold dots and red dots) IMPORTANT .. Perhaps we should use that same three dominoes with the ends facing out (one ivory/bone color domino on two black) or (one black domino on two ivory/bone) placed in the middle of this compass design so we can get the .com .eu and .asia.

Brendan. #70 #88 #65 #56 #64 #71 PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring some color or life to the words DOMINOWORLD. The grey is boring, is getting lost, and is not contrasting against the background on all of your designs. Dominoes are either ivory (bone) or black and should stand out againt the font. PLEASE try to create a contrast between the domino and the font. I like the font usage very much .. but, we are losing this against the backgrounds because of the plain gray. We want to brand the name DOMINOWORLD using your font layout ... but, the font contrast needs improvement in all of your designs.
Brendan, #88 Let's try a more lighter gold tone or a light fading blue on the back compass. I prefer happier tones more tropical colors than mustard and dark brown. Again, we need to emphasize the words DOMINOWORLD and try something different than gray... bring some life to these words and contrast against the little domino.
Suggestion - on the compass circle where you now have the little dash lines ... lets put in very small clean lettering alternating around the compass to replace the dashes with the words .com .asia .eu .es. mobi. Same as you might see on a casino chip ... I can send you an example of what I'm thinking.
#94 Much better. BUT- AGAIN !!!!!!! .... PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!!! - CHANGE THE GRAY LETTERING TO ANY COLOR. PLEASE READ THE 2 COMMENTS FROM ABOVE. We MUST make the words DOMINOWORLD stand out. The gray is NOT working!!!! Please bring LIFE to the words with color and sharp lines. AGAIN, the little domino should be ivory and the words on either side can be anything which is bright, happy and energetic ... (not gray anymore) .... PLEASE do this on all your designs to make ALL of your designs stand out. PLEASE TRY THIS ... DOMINOWORLD needs color and contrast. All the colors need to be more energetic .. happy + fun + sophistication.
I like the .com .eu .asia. My only comment is that you might put just a .com in one quadrant and a .asia in another quadrant or put more space between them .. separate the .com., .eu, .asia so they are easier to read ... but, this is very good and this is exactly what I had in mind .. (it just needs to be refined a bit)
I'm NOW putting this in second place because of the GRAY lettering. I REALLY LIKE THE LOGO concept (stick with that for now) ... but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE change the lettering colors and background contrast.
For NOW lets just refine #94. Please read my comments above and below and apply that to #94. We want the name to stand out against a subtle (but effective) background. The background is overpowering the main branding name. Crisp lines, happy colors with the domain name standing out in front - using this logo design and it could be very very good.
#96 ... I really like the dimentional dominoes ... GOOD. BUT .... the background colors used in the compass and the colors in the words are not clean or happy colors. Everything you are doing in the design function is GREAT.... BUT, I'm just not understanding the colors (the colors need to be more sophisticated (not gray) and happy - fun)
AGAIN ... please play with the same designs you have been submitting, but change the colors on the words DOMINOWORLD. #94 #70 #65. Look how nice #65 would stand out with just colored words and possible red and gold dots in the dominoes??
FANTASTIC ... yep, we are getting it ... good communication. #97 .... please look at the background colors you used in #62. Better suited and lighter and brighter.
I'm still not convinced that orange and gold work very well together as the combination for DOMINOWORLD (but it's better than gray)... For the wording let's try some color combinations which are more sophisticated and clean. Can you make the lines sharper and more crisp on the font?
Staying with this design ... lets now experiment with the perfect (different) combination of colors on the shield ( I like the way it fades to the outer edge) and the colors of spokes of the compass.
Once we get that resolved we can look at the band where the .com .eu .asia are. (maybe just black and white with the .eu .asia .com like in #62) At some point when we get all of this OK, we will want to put some gold and red (shadowed) dots on the domino.
#97 .. Lets try using the same gold lettering color that you used in #38 for the DOMINOWORLD and just just make the dimensional color a darker color for more contrast. Maybe just a little bit larger on the font size for #97 as well ... ? J
I've had quite a few people comment how nice your logos are. Their number one comment is how unique your use of the font is for DOMINOWORLD in both #65 and #38 with the connecting of the legs in both versions. This font treatment could actually become the main recognized branding element within our logos.
However, many of the same people want to see a front / flat presentation of the words.(same frontal presentation as used in #106 and #114) IMPORTANT ... can you make the wording (using YOUR font ) as a frontal plane (not at an angle) and still keep the depth in the dominoes. Ultimately, we will need to use your fonts treatments in various languages which we will overlay as a straight on forward facing name. Please give this a try on both #97 and #64. Hopefully you received my email for the subtle changes on #65.

Can you apply the same font, same color and design (without the color background) (maybe make it a little bigger) and apply it on #118 which you just did...??

#119 Lets keep everything the same and apply only the colored red and gold dots (shaded for depth) to the dominoes with the .com, .eu, .asia engraved in the sides or end of the dominoes. Dry making the DOMINOWORLD a bit larger, if possible.
#120 ... same comments with the size and engraved .com, (in the black domino) and .eu, .asia. (these can go one the end or the sides)
#120 + #121 You are missing a dot on the 6 dot domino. #120 + #121 The black domino the one dot is not centererd #120 + #121 For the .asia, .com and .eu - please use a cleaner / crisp font
#74 Please leave everything the same and JUST ADD the colored dots. Don't change anything but the colored dots.
#94 Many people think this is the best in the contest ... but, they all want to use better more sophisticated colors. PLEASE use the approximate same colors that were used in #106 ... subtle but clean and with larger - front facing words for DOMINOWORLD.
