I LOVE your line of work! This is a delicious, elegant, fun business you're in. Excellent. :)
So to connote sweetness, and upper-class tastes, I've illustrated a honeybee for you. I gained inspiration from Victorian woodcut drawings, and the wallpaper you purchased (that you mentioned in the brief). I've stayed away from swirly shapes, and curves, to give your business a clean, distinctly different image than your competition. Of course, this can all be adjusted; if you want more curves and flairs, I'm happy to give it to you. :)
Let me know what you think -- I'll do my best to bring your vision to life. :) -Jennifer
I cannot see your logo anymore is it posted? Thank you for your creation, do you have any other symbols instead of a honeybee that u can show us? Perhaps a unique flower, symbol or something victorian that conveys elegance to represent our business?
Thanks for your note. I'd withdrawn my logo because I was under the assumption that you hadn't really liked it. But, I'm happy to re-instate it so you may view it once more.
I'd be happy to give you a unique flower, symbol, or something else victorian that conveys elegance. So I'll take a look at your brief once more, and submit something once I get off work tonight. :) I work full-time, and take on work I truly enjoy on the side, such as this new logo design for your business. I love what you do! :)
So before I submit a revision, because we're coming to the end of the Open Phase, I do have one question for you that would help me submit something you'd love: what is the one aspect of your business that makes it unique, makes it stand out from the competition?
I would like to give you a visual identity that is distinct, and so far I see many designs in your contest that appear to look very much so like your competitors' logos. If I understand what quality or feature makes your business unique, what makes you stand out from your competitors, I can brainstorm and come up with a visual image that is elegant, clean, and effective. Effective is key -- you want your identity to be memorable, to-the-point, and possess an alluring, draw-the-viewer-in quality at the same time. So please do let me know what qualities, features, or history of your business makes it different and stand out from the competition. :) That will be a big help!
It looks as though it's either late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning there in Australia (depending on which part!). :) I'll likely be starting work on your new logo design just as you're getting up (in about 8 hours). Until then, I'll take a greater look into your industry as a whole, and see if there are some more visual aspects that candy buffets, bonbonnieres and chocolate bouquets are associated with, and what has worked for some versus others in the business.
Have a great morning when you get this! :) Looking forward to hearing from you. -Jennifer
thank you for your message, what makes us different is we custom design all of our products for our clients so they are unique and stylish to their needs.
I apologize; I ran out of time to finish the concept I was working on. It doesn't happen often, but it unfortunately happens. My current design probably isn't where you'd like it to be, so I understand why it isn't ranked at all. And because that one isn't up to par, I'm not one of the first 5 Designers in the contest, which means we won't be moving on to Top 5 together.
You have been a joy to speak with, and I wish you all the best with your contest. Have a good day! -Jennifer
I am honored you chose to work with me in the Top 5 phase! So very excited that I can still work with you, and submit the concept I would love to give you! :) I'm at work now, and tickled pink....great news. :) Looking forward to arriving home, fine tuning it some more, and entering it here for you.
Have a great day, when you get this! :) Talk with you later! -Jennifer
I believe this concept I've just uploaded does a couple things for your business.
It's more alluring than demure; it's eye-catching, classy, and sets your image apart from your competition. Plus, the overall shape connotes a radiating piece of candy, hinting at a glorious experience for the senses for anyone who tastes your fine candy cuisine! :)
I've been tweaking color and whatnot, and have a couple more variations and concepts I'm working on in addition to this one. So I've uploaded this one for now, and would love to hear your feedback on it. That way, any work I'm also developing in addition to this one can be shaped in the direction we need.
Have a great day! Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on these. -Jennifer
I've been tweaking color and the like, as well as layout.
((Hey Jacinta, there's a typo in my last post, FYI -- meant to delete that last line of text, as it's redundant; was swapping that sentence for a better-written one, and it wasn't deleted before I posted the comment. :) ))
