Hi Nancy,

Thank you for your Design! I'm typing this with my phone and cannot rank until after a hour or two... Could you edit you design a little and leave the Finnish name out after all and put the English one below the line?

Also, could you swap some of the animals to non-tropical? Many of the species we have here are the same you have in northern USA: moose, owls, bear, flying squirrel, eagle, swan, mallard, beaver, deer, fox, fish like salmon... It would also be nice to see insects like ants, beetles, and butterflies. Maybe also a frog and a snake.

Thank you again!

Kind regards,
Anni

Hi again,

Now I was able to rank the designs. Thanks again, we really liked this idea! I talked with the head of the programme and we'd have some wishes for changes.

My boss agreed with me that the English name should be below the line. Could you do two versions: one where the english name is on one line and another one where it is on two lines?

As for the tree we came up with the idea that it would be nice if the silhouette of the tree reminded the scots pine which is the most common tree in Finland:

Also, it would be great to have on each branch of the pine species from the different kingdoms of life (animals, plants, fungi). It would have nice symbolism for biologists.

From the animal kingdom: brown bear, flying squirrel, eagle owl, whooper swan, mallard, atlantic salmon, ants, beetles, butterflies... The plants could be for example wild blue berry (schrubs), plantains, leaves of different trees. For the fungi there could be different mushrooms and polypores. Shall I collect some photos of the species for you?

Having said that, I wonder if it will be a mess to have different kingdoms on different branches. If possible could you also try a version where there are only animals on the pine branches. And then there could be perhaps a mushroom growing next to the tree. Then we'd have the three kingdoms represented: animal kingom in the tree, plants in the shape of the tree and fungi growing next to the tree.

Best,

Anni

Hi,

Thank you for the new design! Could you leave out the little mushroom next to the big one and make the big one slightly larger?

And sorry to keep coming back to the animals. We like this idea but would like to see more northern species on the tree. Would you be able to change the shark, turtle, parrot, koala bear ect. to other species?

Best wishes,

Anni

Hi again,

I talked with the head of the school and she agreed with me about some of the animals. Would you be able to use some of these animals: hawk, eagle, seal, ant, beetle, owl? Maybe the total number of animals could be a bit smaller? Or do you think the shape of the tree would not work anymore with fewer animals?

We really like the fonts and the colours of the texts!

Thank you very much Nancy!
