Top Three Things to Communicate
#1 - You can do it
#2 - Financial performance
#3 - Easy as 1-2-3
Our Target Audience:
We're looking for Do It Yourself'ers. They are comfortable using a computer and the internet, they are more confident in themselves than in the standard channels.
They are probably saving money towards their retirement, are in the middle to late parts of their careers. Probably educated (college degree of some sort).
They don't have a pension plan. They don't have a trust fund. But they have saved up some money ($50,000 to $500,000).
Alternately they were very close to retirement and are going to have to postpone their retirement based on the recent losses in the stock market (and their retirement portfolios).
They are more "Can Do", but also more skeptical than average. They are tired of being fed a line of crap from their financial advisers.

Diamond Contest
We're sorry, but this contest is presently open to a limited pool of designers.
#1. My general impressions are that I sort of like the swoosh, I'm not so keen on the font and coloring of the letters. But I do like the futuristic feeling it gives. Certainly better than neutral, but kind of unexpected. Good luck.
#1. I have to admit that I like it more now than my quick first impression. I now like the letters (font/style). The colour mix also is pleasing, because it doesn't seem stiff like most financial logo's. My second thoughts on the symbol are more mixed (as it reminds me of water going down a drain - which is maybe not the best symbollically given the last year's market).
#10 - I'm wondering whether the i in Do it can be improved. It's not that the letter has to be in lower case, it is that it has to not look like a lower case L.
Two concepts that maybe people could think of including somehow would be the Fibonacci sequence of numbers and Elliot Wave Theory. Just suggestions - I really like what people are doing and I really appreciate the ideas and suggestions you are all coming up with. These are two patterns that are a basis for technical analysis which is important in investing.
Also while it is important to show that things go down, it is more important to show that things can go up.
I'll update the rankings again when I get some broader feedback.
