District of BabaevoLogo Design Contest

Area of lakes, forests, hunting, fishing, wild berries, old villages.

Babaevo district of Vologda region, Russia.

Green (forests, nature), Blue (many lakes and rivers), White (Belozersk region, Russian North, snow), Brown (timber, moose, wild boar, bear), Grey (local sky, wolf, fish). As example I downloaded logo of Vologda region (Babaevo district is part of that region) as well as nice logo of similar northern area in neighboring Finland - Lapland region

Logo that captures key activities in the region - forestry, hunting, fishing (lakes and rivers), off-roading, cross country skiing etc. with historic references and folk tradition (Russian North, Belozersk, Novgorod lands, Vologda region, Hvalevskoe). Have a look also at www.hvalevskoe.com, one of main local cultural centre and tourist attraction. District also has many old villages with timber houses and old white brick Russian Orthodox churches. Attached file is logo of Vologda region (not the cote of arms, which is completely different). Main industries in the district - forestry, railway transit, gas transit. Local tourism is a growing sector, hence this task.
