Hi - thank you for submitting your logos so quickly! Very grateful! I'm most interested in Entry #2 since the muscle man is in the O. I think that keeps the logo a good shape, overall. It's feeling a little "heavy" to me... maybe it's the way the colors are breaking in the letters (with the blue on the bottom) so I'm wondering if you can make the logo feel "lighter"...? I also think the color breaks in the letters make them a little harder to read. My overall feedback would be to add lightness, brightness and fluidity to the logo... yes, we sell strength training equipment, which is heavy/strong/bold, but we also sell to a lot of women so we need to appeal to them too. I would lean toward making the person (icon) more of a healthy fitness icon/person and less of a big muscle guy. Take a look at a couple the brands we sell: www.lifefitness.com, www.precor.com, www.cybexintl.com, etc. to see how the manufacturers market themselves. Thanks!

Thank you - right now my favorite is #4. I'm doing this for my client and here is his feedback, with my comments on it:
My client: "The running man is too much like one of my closest competitors: Marathon Fitness."
My comments: Check out www.marathonfitness.com. Another company that uses a similar version of this running man is Busy Body Fitness. Check out www.busybody.com. I don't necessarily agree with him on this but I wanted you to take a look at how our industry uses this particular icon in logos. Perhaps it will inspire you to try something.
My client: "Can we get away from block letters?"
My comments: I think it would be nice to show him the logo in some different fonts so he can start to get a feel for how the personality of the brand might change just from a simple font change. We still want the logo to feel powerful, but maybe just not so heavy. I know it's hard to do both. Please play around with it if you can.
My client: "Can we try lightening it up even more?"
My comments: Take a look at his other website: www.momentumfitnesssolutions.com. You'll notice because of the imagery on that site (blue water, blue sky, etc.), he's used to see light, bright blues. Do you think you could incorporate this type of look into this logo? Please also try leading with orange to see how that goes.

Hi - I like entry #16 and am wondering if it would be best to drop the DFEO and just stick with the words like you did here. Would you mind building out some other versions of this one? Also, can I extend the length of the competition to give us more time?

Hi - we've moved all of the DFEO logos to the non-interesting pile just to make things easier, even though you had some awesome logos in that category. We want to stay focused on using the words: Discount Fitness Equipment Outlet with emphasis on Discount Fitness. Can you try putting a $ in the word Discount for the S.
Also, we like entry #16... but we need to work on the man's posture. Maybe have him more upright and walking rather than leaning forward and running.
