I like the contrast, the darker colors keep it from getting washed out. Of the three I prefer #5. The offset hexagons are more symbolically valuable than the the hexagons in #4. The cross in #3 is a bit too small, seems a bit cramped in there. As I mentioned to #1, I've got lateral room but not as much vertical room. So setting things on top of one another will make it hard for me. If the hexagons can fall behind the text and the slogan underneath take up only one like of text, that would be great. And the dark lines over and underneath the title really do jump out. If they were much thinner that would help.
Thanks Paul. #8 is by far the best of yours thus far. Nice fit.Balanced. I can't tell, but is there some shadowing going on inside the cross? Maybe it's my glasses. If so, that's nice. If not, is that possible? Just thinking out loud.
There's no shadow on #8 but i make a revision so there's a shadow now on #10 entry, and i add inner and outer glow on the hexagons. Let me know if you want more revision. Thanks
Paul, on #10, I love the shading. Nice touch. As I sit looking at it, I think I'd like to see what the hex figure would look like if we rotated it just slight so that it's not sitting on a flat side but rather on one of the points, then the Cross would have to be rotated slightly as well to stay erect, perhaps even made slightly thinner. This way we'd have a flat side of the hexagon snuggling up alongside the letter 'D' of Deus. See what I mean? Just wondering about the symmetry.
Another thought. I'm loving what you did with the tri-hexagon, And I'm wondering if we did rotate the hex slight to stand on point (and adjust the Cross as well) what would it look like to place the hexagon figure between the words 'Deus' and 'Possibilium'. The problem would be running the words of the slogan underneath right through the bottom of the hexagon. Or perhaps leave the hexagon lying flat instead of on a point. The point I'm wondering is what it would be like to center the hexagon.
#38, #39, and #40 don't particularly strike me. But #41 does. I love the free/winsome feel inside the hexagon. Very nice. I'm not crazy about the font of #41. And thank you for bring down the size of the hexagon that 15%. That does help. Actually, I'm wondering if just a bit more will help. It's an all solid hexagon with no 'air' space in to lighten it, so it tends to seem a bit larger than it is. A bit smaller perhaps.
Entries #10 and #15 I'll move over into the uninteresting category not because they're not interesting (they are), but because other designs of yours are the better ones. Should I choose your design, it'll be one of those that remain. Just so you know.
Whatever percentage you reduce the hexagon in #33 by (15% or more), the hexagon in #8 will need that reduction too.
Paul, our 'committee' took a look at things. Love the designs, but we're taking the tag line "A forum dedicated..." off. So all I need is the hexagon and the words Deus Possibilium. Let's remove the tag line from the logo and that will help us decide. Thanks!
#45 is great! Love it. Let's remove the tag line underneath since the committee is dropping that. And can I see #45 with 'Possiblium' in green as well?
Hi, TGB. I dont know why you ended the contest so early, I still have some idea. But i know you got your own good reason, and i appreciate it. Great Choice by the way....Good luck on your new logo. Its been a great experience. Thanks Regards, Paul
