The background this logo will be on is a medium-to-dark blue.

Please don't just go "old west" style. That will make this look dated. We really want to put off a "modern" image.

Diamond Contest
We're sorry, but this contest is presently open to a limited pool of designers.
#1: Congrats on being first on the board! What's good about this is that you've designed it to be on a dark blue background, but the text is a bit dark, and the gun isn't visible enough.
#2 and #3: Nicely done, showing the versatility of your design on white and the blue background. Two things we don't like: The word "Design" is too squished compared to the "Shootout," and we're not crazy about the orange color...
#13: Simple, but effective. I like. #6: Also simple and effective, but I'm not crazy about the "DESIGN" font #8: This is cool, any way to make the "design" text stand out a little more, or be a bit bigger? It seems to be "outweighed" by the "Shootout" #5: The font choice isn't my favorite, and it's trying to blend "modern" with "classic" - but just gets it wrong... sorry.
It's coming down to the wire, people. We need to see EVERYTHING on a dark blue plain background at this point.
#54: FUN! Wanna see it on blue background, and can the suckers be aligned a bit differently - right now, it's kinda breaking up the "sh" and the "tout"
#54 and/or #69 -- sweet! Like the fact that the suction darts make it more of a fun 'competition' instead of some kind of fight to the death. ;-) Nice work, prolific.
I am seeing some great work - I want to point out that I also have another contest going for "GamerID" - I'd love to see the designers who are on the shortlist here chime in over there, too!
Wow - this is gonna be a tough decision, especially since some good designs were submitted RIGHT at the last second. It's noon here, so my biz partner and I are going to head to lunch and make the final decision.
Before announcing the winner, I just want to say that I saw a lot of really great ideas, effort, and creativity on the part of a LOT of designers. I wish we needed more than just one logo for this project (but this is also a reminder that we've got another contest running right now for GamerID - please participate, we've got 2 days left).
Thanks to all who participated. We'll have a decision for you later today.
Hey - it was really useful seeing your comments all the way through, definately helped with knowing what you were after with some constructive feedback. You'll have to let us all know when the website is up and running as I for one would love to get involved in that too.
