My perception is that Design Foundry is a melting pot of ideas, influences and projects. So here's the concept:
1. Melting pot in action - Pouring the hot stuff (the design) over the customer project, shaping it into success. 2. Dark brown and strong red to really emphasize the 'hands-on' feeling, instead of weak pastels. 3. A simple open font with a medium kerning for easy readability at different sizes.
Hope you like it and feedback is ALWAYS welcome of course.
Hello. One of our executives can't get past the idea that your design looks like a tongue coming out of an up-side-down top hat. I know, rediculas. Anyway, can you tweak the bucket a bit just to see different variations and also tweak the red liquid a bit to look less like a tongue. I know, dumb, but I appreciate your help.
Changes made: 1. Went through all melting pot imagery on Google and then added a reinforcing 'waist-band' around the pot - the same way real life larger foundry melting pot looks like. 2. Added and adjusted the shadows on the pot to more follow the shape and underline the shape - moving away from 'hat' shape. 3. Increased volume on drop and added reflection to underline actual drop-shape and sense of fluid.
If this still doesn't cut it, and there's a hang-up about the whole design, I offer to make a totally new design with a more 3D approach. Just remember - Current design is 2D - that's why it's simple and strong. Going into more detail like with 3D, it will become more detailed 'illustration' and less logo.
